That flashing LED generally means a hardware failure. Your best bet is to take it into the shop.

If you want to try to fix it yourself, open up the case, dust everything off, disconnect and reconnect all cable, pull and reseat all cards. That probably won't fix it, but it's worth a shot.

You could also try pull any cards to see if you can get the machine to boot. But chances are that you have no cards, since most modern computers have everything on the motherboard.

I think that's a pretty old model of computer, so you may just want to replace it.

Power LED flashes Red two times, once every second, followed by a two second pause, and the computer beeps two times. (Beeps stop after fifth iteration but LEDs continue flashing.)

That indicates a parity error on your memory modules on the motherboard. Try removing and putting the memory back in different slots. This usually fixes it. If it doesn't, then replace the memory.

How do I start a philips hepc 8512 pc - power button led flashes red every two seconds - doesn't start?

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Blinking codes details to many popular brand TVs are given. Surf the site with patience. If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Counting of number of blinks to Philips TVs is entirely different to that of other brand TVs. It is not a direct count procedure. The site have details about how to count the number of LED blinks [Fault Codes] to Philips brand TVs are given; along with details of the faulty circuit location.

My HP D530C does not power on. The power LED flashes 4 times. What is the fault? Pls let me know asap. Thanks.

HP xw6200 Workstation - Diagnostic LED Code: Four Flashes ISSUE: When the workstation is powered on, the front LED might flash red four times, once per second, followed by a two second pause. SOLUTION: The front LED flashing four times is a sign of a power failure. To fix this issue, complete the following steps:
  1. Open the access panel, and check to see if the four-wire power supply cable is properly connected to the system board.
  2. There may be a faulty device. Locate it by removing all devices and then reinstalling them one at a time until the workstation fails. Replace the device causing the failure. Continue adding devices to ensure all are functioning properly.
  3. Verify the power supply functionality, as follows:
    1. Disconnect AC power.
    2. Remove all internal power supply cables from the system board.
    3. Plug in AC power.
      • If the power supply fan spins, and the BIST LED illuminates, then the power supply is good. Replace the system board.
      • If the power supply fan does not spin, or the BIST LED does not illuminate, replace the power supply.

The power at the start is red and not green how can i know what is the problem is it the power supply or others please answer me.....

Power LED flashes Red,
once every two seconds.
OR
Power LED flashes Red four
times, once every second,
followed by a two second
pause.

Would this be the symptom?

If so, then yes, the Power Supply is bad.

What causes this?

1) A large percentage is due directly to the fact, that the computer is dirty inside, as well as the inside of the Power Supply.

2) A smaller percentage is that the Power Supply is a low quality unit, installed by the computer manufacturer.

Computer unplugged from power, computer case open, anti-Static precautions observed.

Using a can of compressed air for computers on a regular basis as needed, would help prevent Power Supply failure.

Is the dc5000 the Small Form Factor, or the Micro-Tower, style?
(SFF style looks like a Pizza Box)

Will look up Power Supply replacement for you if you wish, and information on replacing it.
