Question about Garden
Pretty much every steering sector has a way to remove excessive play (backlash) in the worm gear. Look on the sector for a locknut encompassing a large threaded bolt with no head, usually a wide slot for a "flat bit" used in a 3/8 or 1/2" ratchet. Some DO have a square headed end on the adjustment screw. Back off the lock nut 3/4 turn and tighten the adjustment, turn the steering wheel back and forth, tighten the adjustment screw again, tighten the lock nut and go for a spin. Hopefully adjustment improved it a bit. If not, try it again. Do not tighten it ridiculously tight though.
