I have a Polaroid a530, yeah, an older camera, but it's been reliable. I was just getting ready to send this to a friend for him to use, but then when I turned it on to make sure it was alright, I had a shock when I saw the USB connection screen. This model lets you select between a PC, Printer, or Webcam connection, and that's the menu screen that pops up, instead of the normal picture-taking screen. I temporarily solved it by removing the batteries, waiting 10-15 minutes, and then turned it back on, where I find that the picture screen is up for about five seconds before the USB prompt comes up again. So then I did it again and took three pictures really quickly, and it seemed to work, restarted, it was fine, restarted, it was fine, restarted and then the darn USB screen was back! I'm a little bummed, my friend needs this camera. somehow the device is fooled into thinking it's connected when it's not.
