SOURCE: Central Electric heat not blowing hot or warm air

Make sure you are in the heat mode. Do you hear the wall thermostat click when you raise and lower the set temp. If not replace thermostst. Clean all filters to start. Does your heat source have a pilot light to start or is the unit located out side. If apilot light make sure itis lit. let's go from there

SOURCE: heater wont run on hi and doesn't get warm at all

One of two things here. You blew an internal fuse or the heating element is broken. Take your unit apart and check for bad fuses and also check that the heating coil has continuity. Let me know how you make out.

SOURCE: Heater is not blowing hot air like it use to only

You can try using a compressor and blow gun and cleaning it with the forced air once front to back and back to front. There is no given number of times to do this, I do it until I have clean air going thru both directions. This is the easiest way with out taking the fan apart and man it is a fast repair for sluggish heaters.

Blows only warm air, not hot

Many of these heaters have four infrared heating bulbs inside, and they do burn out over time, and it doesn't put out as much heat. If you take off the outer case (usually 4 screws hold it on) you'll see the bulbs and will be able to determine which ones are not lit up and need replacement.

Why would my fan blow but not blow hot air?

Locate the heater hoses and feel for temperature.Should be warm to the touch.
There may be an external heater control valve next to the firewall that is either vacuum or cable controlled.
the lever on the side opens and closes: warm coolant going into the heater core, inside the cab. If the valve is stuck,no heat.
If the vacuum to the valve is ZERO,it should open.
If the heater control vacuum hose is leaking air,you should get hot air ALL of the time.
people in the winter want heat NOW. Bypass the heater valve, under the hood with a section of copper or plastic tubing.
Even if the heater core is partly plugged up,you will still get some heat.
If the control valve is stuck closed: NO HEAT.
Listen under the dashboard for a hissing sound. That may be the problem for the control valve not opening.(Turn the fan off)
I'll assume this is a late model truck.

disconnect the heat hoses going into fire wall , put hose into one with pressure and flush as it sounds like it could be bloked in the heater core, the other thing that could be the problem be the hot ,cold switch as it restricts the flow to makes the heater hoter or colder , it might need tlc or replacing as it is manaul not elec

Sounds like your heater coil could be clogged. Its a small radiator like device that hot coolant is pumped through to heat the cabin. its very small so clogging is pretty likely.
