Question about Refrigerators
Serial number 10122114807 fridge freezing all food even when turning it down ... There is ice on back of fridge all the time . can you help please
It may be a faulty thermostat, namely the control you are using to turn it down. Also there may be ice in the drain line from the fridge compartment to the evaparator tray at the bottom.Try unplugging it overnight .That would allow any ice buildup to thaw.Once it goes into defrost mode again the resulting water should flow into a tray at the bottom of the fridge near the compressor.

Adjust the temperature control for the freezer to a normal setting. Fast freeze is only for when new products are put in that need to be frozen. This locks the system into a continuous run mode and could be responsible for the freezing condition in the refrigerator section. Check the temperatures with a thermometer as the sensor for the freezer temperature could be bad causing the light to come on.

Ice on the back wall indicates a problem with the defrost cycle. The ice builds up and starts to choke off the air flow, so your symptoms would indicate that may be happening.
Defrost problems are usually any of the three components, the heater element, the defrost termination temp switch, or the defrost timer.

Hi, Change the controls back to normal settings. Make sure the freezer is getting 0 to 5 above. If the freezer is getting cold enough, try and turn the cold control to 1 and see if the refrigerator shuts off. It sounds like the cold control in not working properly and will need to be replaced. NOTE: The freezer temp has to be right temp or the fresh food side will not work proper.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further.
