It's getting to hot.
Needs a cooling fan.

Too many speakers or too high a volume.

Let it cool. Should restart.
If you unplug it,you will lose your presets.

It just started flashing protect is there a reset button somewhere

"PROTECT" :- The speaker wire has a short-circuit or touches the chassis of the vehicle, and then the protection function is activated. Wire or insulate the speaker cable properly and press the reset button. If the "PROTECT" code does not disappear, consult your nearest service center. Reset is a tiny little hole hole to the right of preset buttons along bottom of unit, Insert paperclip to reset to factory settings?
Good luck with it

How do you reset the protection mode

The protection function has been activated because it has sensed an output load problem, turn receiver off and remove the speaker wires, this will reset the protection circuit. Now! turn the device on and turn the volume right down, if the protection mode stays off it indicates a short in the speaker wire or one of the speakers, but! if the protection circuit comes on with "the speakers and wires dis-connected" it means there is a short in the audio outputs in the receiver itself, this can only be rectified by having the parts replaced.

My doesnt get hot do i need to replace element took back cover of noticed reset button on element box was kicked do i need to replace element and re set switch to

Hi!!

Before spending money on another heating element, clean filter, vents and exhaust pipe (take it off and check both, the pipe and inside the dryer). A restricted hot air passage will make the heating elements thermal protection (reset switch) to activate.

Once unclogged, press the reset button and try again.

Good luck!!

My Onkyo TX-SR700 AV Receiver shuts off about 10 seconds after I turn it on ?

Please remove speaker wires from receiver and turn it ON, if receiver still goes to standby that means it got problem in amplifier output section and protection circuit gets activate to turn it off.
If removing speakers solve turn-off problem that shows any of speaker is bad, connect speakers one by one to find out what speaker causing protection circuit activation.
And if receiver has problem with internal circuit, a tech would be fine to diagnose that kind of problem because it is not user level repair as it requires testing voltages in output circuit of receiver and also requires soldering work to replace defective parts.
Thanks.

Both inside and outside units did not come on in cool mode

hi there,
thermostat located on your evaporator is adevice where in if temperature set up is acquired the power source will cut off until on specific time that when small heat absorbed thermostat will activate again or this auto activated.meaning there is a differtianl temperature acquited to run this device.this depent how you set up your temperature setting.the over load protection device located mostly on control panel is one tripping off.this is the device you have to reset in order to run the unit again if malfunction., if short circuited or highr current occured on compressor this device protect your motor to burn it will trip off your unit.several factors you can consider in tripping unit, fan motor not running, dirty evaporator and condenser, loosen wiring connection and faulty wiring.sometimes circuit on panel board are envaded by insect mostly ants they need heat for there egg to hatch, they davastated the circuit.check on this.have a nice day don't forgert to rate me thank's.

Sanyo xp-56 overheating with all air intakes clean

You have thermal protection issues.

On some projectors, once the thermal protection has been activated once, it will activate again at a lower temperature!!!

Inside your Sanyo there are several temp sensors (they are actually temperature-sensitive resistors, called thermistors). I have seen this many times as an electronic technician working on multimedia projectors. For the techs out there, they are actually NTC thermistors (NTC= negative temperature coefficient, meaning as temp goes up resistance goes down).

Once a thermistor has activated to save your machine form heat damage, it may activate again at a lower temperature. The only solution is to take your projector to an authorized Sanyo warranty repair depot, and have the thermistors replaced in your machine.

Typically, there is a thermistor to monitor lamp temperature, and a thermistor to monitor optical block temperature. Better quality machines may have more thermistors, some machines only have one to monitor the lamp temperature.

Dryer not heating up

Yes clogged or pinched vent tube will cause overheating thermal protection switch to open turning heating element off. Sometimes the switch will reset its self. others can be reset & still ohters will to be replaced.
