On your Samsung remote, press the MENU button. At the bottom of your screen you will have the setup selections. Scroll over to the SOUND option and select that. A menu should appear and toward the bottom of the menu you should see MELODY. Scroll down to that and select ON or OFF.

My Samsung Plasma TV just made a popping sound and then shut off. It will not come back on.
Popping sounds from plasma tv's are almost always caused by a blown sustain board ( Y,Z, or both). It could be a main power supply also. Have a technician check it out.

Flickering
I would suggest to call Samsung to get the Plasma repair under manufacturers warranty. The flickering will not go away until the hardware failure is corrected.
