Question about Cell Phones

Open Question

How do I turn off the little light at the top of my SoundLogic XT 5200 mAh Portable Charger?

The charger is for my cell phone. It was just hanging out in its case and I noticed a light coming from the case. There is a little light, like a little flashlight (LED maybe) on the top of the unit. It came on and has just stayed on for days. I've tried pressing on the light itself, turning the unit off and on and plugging it in to my computer to recharge. The light will NOT go off. I can't find the user manual or a manual online on those "FREE USER MANUAL" websites because I don't know if "SoundLogic" is the name of the manufacturer or not! Help! The light being on is using the charge that portable recharger/back up batter is supposed to have available for my cell phone! Thanks!

SOURCE: Cobra PR3850WX will not recharge batteries

There is a contact in the upper left hand corner of the batt compartment. This has to touch the metal of the last batt.If your batts have paper around them scrape it off where it contacts that contact point.

Olympus Camedia E10 won't power on with AA NI-MH batteries but works fine with AA ALKALINE, what can I do?

Always charge batteries before using it for the first time, or if you have not used it for a long period. 3 months is a very long period.
Always charge sets of batteries (2 or 4) together.

Make sure your rechargeable batteries are all good. One defect in a set is killing for the whole set
Don't use barrettes from different sets or brands together.
I had one brand good NiMH batteries and a very expensive charger from the same brand. The charger destroyed all my rechargeable (more than 60 now). When I first discovered the batteries were dropping out, I stopped using the charger, but it did not prevent all batteries to die in the following months. Every time on dropped out I had to change the set. I tried using up the others by grouping the ones with the same Ri, but not longer then a few months and I had a box full to trow away.
Never use a quick charger, capable of charging them within an hour or faster. Us a charger that indicates the Ri is still low enough, so you can see what batteries are bad.
Check you are using a charger for NiMH batteries.
I would try another set (new) because buying Alkaline is also not cheap.
I used 2700 mAh and later 2600 mAh rechargeable, all dead now. since a few weeks I'm now using 2300 mHh from another brand, costing 1/5 of the "best" I had before, and they are doing great. I won't charge them with the quick charger.

Never use manganese (Zinc-Carbon) batteries in electronic devices.
These batteries are only to be used in flash lights.

My portable charger wont stay on. How do you make it stay on to charge the phone?

If you're using the charger supplied with the phone, it should either work or not. If it doesn't; either the phone battery, charger or both require replacement.

If the battery is "good" and you are using a "3rd party" (non-original equipment) charger, you may not have one that is incapable of providing the correct voltage, charge current or both. If the charger can not provide adequate charge current or voltage, it is very possible that the charger is shutting off due to excessive heat. Once sufficiently cooled, it charges again.

Make sure that you've got the correct charger - or one that is designed to charge the type battery in your phone at the correct voltage and current rates.

Want turn on when charging green & red light flashes

Normally if you have a VXi, B250-XT on its charger and you are seeing both a Green and Red light the headset is changin over from charging to fully charged. The headset is designed to be able to use while it is on the charger however once you place it on the charger you must turn it on to reconnect to your phone before you can do this. Put the headset on and press the Multifunction Button for 2 to 3 seconds, you should hear two rising tones and the headset should reconnect with your phone. Note* your phone may require you to accept the connection request.
If the headset will not turn on either on or off the charger I recommend calling VXi at 800-742-8588 for warranty repair information. A headset that will not turn on indicates the unit is having an issue with one of its control circuits.

Can i replace my 800 mah cell phone battery with 1000 or 1300 mah battery

Hi,
You can replace current battery 800 mAH with higher mAH, but make sure the voltages are really same so that, you still can use your charger and the new battery will not damage your phone.
