Your serial number is on the tag located inside of the door jamb of your unit that is where you will find you serial number . other wise you might contact whirlpool warranty registration dept to see if they can assist if the infor is missing

The exact model&serial number can be on a label on the rim around the door usually in the upper left corner. In many cases a second label is on the rear of the washer

Sounds like a motor problem , F is for fault often a number with it , this is a fault code , refer to your hand book for explanation of these.
