Behringer Ultratone K3000fx 300w Keyboard Amplifier. There is a loud hissing sound that comes from the speakers. The headphone output does not hiss nor does the stereo output on the back of the amp. The hissing isnt there when I first turn it on, but gets louder after the amp has been on for a while. Is this a fuse problem? Also I dont think it has as much power as it used to have. Might be half of the 300 watts it used to be.

It sounds like the problem is in the power amp portion rather than the preamp. It is not a fuse proplem. What you discribe will not be user servicable. I'm afraid this will need to go to the shop.

SOURCE: I own a Behringer Ultratone

This is most LIKELY an electronic problem... possibly in the final power amp. Repair may be a simple failed component or a mass number that fail like a stack of dominos. Take it to a shop for repair.

Something blew during a loud performance and now it produces continual high-freq feedback that can't be controlled.

The speaker may be blown, but if you're getting continual Hi-freq feedback that is not resolved by lowering the volume know, you need to take this to the repair shop.

Where can I get a Type T 6.3 AH 250V fuse for a K3000FX 300Watt Keyboard Amp?

Start with a 5 amp fuse and see if that holds. If it doesn't go to 10 amp. If that pops, you will have a power supply or amplifier fault. Good luck

No woofer sound from my K3000FX. Verified all cables and settings correct- but sound only comes from tweeter. What could it be?

Step 1:

Hate to say it, but possibly a blown speaker. To check this, do the following -

Step 2:

Insert headphones into jack to verify for sound there.

Step 3:

Unplug unit and open rear panel to reveal speakers.

Step 4:

Remove leads from woofer.

Step 5:

Using a multimeter, set to OHM (horseshoe) to lowest setting.

Step 6:

Apply red(+) and black(-) to speaker leads. Meter should read at least 4-8 ohms of resistance.

Step 7:

If no reading, then voice coil is blown.

Step 8:

If no meter available to use, the use a 9 volt battery by applying direct connection to speaker leads in an off-and-on fashion - You should hear a "click" sound come from speaker. If no "click," then speaker is blown.

Step 9:

If click is heard, and resistance on meter is correct, then the amp circuitry leading to the woofer may be blown = repair needed.

Behringer K3000FX Ultratone Keyboard Amplifier from day 1 has had a slight buzz

For a start , check headphones out.

• if it don't work , check power supply of the preamps.

• If it is OK, could probably the main amp have fail.

But check the main volume .

• Open the unit, and check regulators in the power supply section.

• Could also be from the op amp IC , and coupling capacitors.

Will an Eminence Beta 15A speaker (`5", 300w, 8 ohm) fit/work in the k3000fx? If so, will there be a trade-off or consequence of performance? I already own the Beta speaker, and have a chance to...

It ill probably work, however I have had to do body-and-fender work on a speaker cabinet where the new frame would not quite set in the existing hole in the mounting board. The Eminence speakers are supposed to be good... are you sure the Behringer amp is OK? The K1800FX uses a conventional linear amp... not sure about the K3000fx... The only possible problem I could see is that the original speaker (Bugera 15 inch)may have a different response and the tweeter may not match too well. You can probably adapt using th EQ should this be the case.

My ultratone k3000fx does'nt sound anymore. What can be the problem ? Thank you.

Here is your service schematic:

http://elektrotanya.com/behringer_k1800fx.zip/download.html

Scroll down to "Get Manual" and click on it to download. The file is compressed and the preamp/FX is on one, the power amp on a second, and a trivial tweeter crossover on the third... I did not see the power supply. Check speaker for continuity of voice coil. Else it is likely a power amp failure.

Look at this one:

http://elektrotanya.com/behringer_k1800fx_sch.pdf/download.html

This is for the 1800 however...

Often they will just double up with two amps, one inverted, and use in bridged mode.at the higher power in what we call an "H" arrangement.

Since the drains are tied together, the heatsinks MIGHT be hot output level.
