Question about Computers & Internet
Whenever I exit a game, my screen goes dark, and the pc wont restart. I have to unplug it or sometimes the power button shuts it down.
The easiest answer it to use a gaming machine like an Xbox or maybe reset the resolution to the screen dimensions?

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Here are a couple of tips that I've collected that may address your problem.
Go to start>run>then type in "cmd" without the quotes. this will bring up the command prompt. next type in the following command: "shutdown -s" without the quotes again. This should tell your system to shutdown your computer entirely.
Try doing this. Hold down "ctrl" and left click "shutdown". This skips some windows XP shutdown procedure and should do the trick.
You cannot log off, restart, or shut down your Windows XP-based computer This article talks about an issue with Norton 2003 incompatibility.
Would appreciate any feedback as to which of these worked for you.

Update windows using update.microsoft.com and see if you have all the latest drivers in device manager for all the hardware connected..If still not resolved then backup the data and perform recovery.

I have the same problem with my Toshiba too, prima facie, it looks like Toshiba and Vista don't make a good combo. I suspected this to be a pure hardware problem, but was disproven when I booted in safe mode. It does not have any problems with the AC Power on in Safe mode.
