Lights on but keypad not working

The lights in the oven are seperate from the one in the control panel/clock. IF the control panel and clock dont work then it is not something that is easy to fix. Could be the fuse of the controller board.

Oven wont start

There are four door operated interlock switches that control various operations. The upper primary interlock activates the high voltage circuit and the light and computer are on a different switch. So the light can come on the computer can work, but the oven will not actually run. Pull control panel to access or remove case.

Clock on control panel works, control panel counts down when start is pushed, light inside doesn't work nor fan or light under unit. I replaced fuse but wasn't the problem. Any ideas? I first noticed...

We see (and repair) this a lot. The problem is on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid.

At our Web site, you can get details of our service, plus we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

The lights can can be inoperable or stuck on or stuck in "night light" mode. Sometimes this will similarly affect the fan operation or inside light, too.

My GE Advantium Microwave first had the cook top light go out. I replaced the bulb and it worked for about a week. The control panel went haywire, and then the interior light went out. I have replaced...

In this case, you have to check the control panel. There might be wire connections and contacts that loosens. The bulbs inside the oven is connected to a switch that that only functions once the oven is in closed position.

Micro 6654438991 power surge from pole, light works, panel dead

Sounds like you should get estimates and turn in on homeowners insurance. Power surges are very destructive and you have lost the control board at least and maybe some switches. Eric

No display on microwave touchpad for ge Model JKP62G

The GE JKP62G Microwave / Oven combination has an internal fuse behind the control panel for the microwave. The oven will operate but the microwave will be totally dead (no light, no clock). Turn off the breaker for the oven at the fuse box (30 Amp double breaker). In order to replace the fuse you will have to open the door to the microwave, remove the two screws (Torx) from the front control panel (located on the left edge of the control panel), wiggle the panel to the left (there are two metal tabs that stick into the metal frame of the microwave on the right of the panel) and then tilt the panel down from the top. There is a metal bracket that holds the control panel to the microwave at the bottom (don't remove it). Look towards the top of the microwave inside the area behind the control panel and you will see a 15 Amp screw in fuse. Replace the fuse and that should fix your problem.
