Question about HP DeskJet Office Equipment & Supplies
I have a HP Pavilion Slimline desktop computer with an HP w1858 flatscreen monitor. The system was disconnected, kept in an air-conditioned environment, and has not been used for 2 years. It was fine then, now the monitor is unresponsive - no lights or sound. The computer turns on and, yesterday, showed the (system ok) blue light. Because I had to turn it off by the power button, since there was no display, today, it powered on with an amber light. The monitor is still "dead." Help!
The easiest thing to do is find another monitor to plug in to determine if it is the monitor or the computer. Just because something has been stored does not mean that something fried the first time you plugged it back in. LCD monitors are notorious for having bad capacitors.
