Question about Dell Inspiron 620 MT Desktop Computer Intel CoreAi32100 processor (DDPDJT317)
I have a Dell Inspiron 620 MT Desktop Computer and a 3m HDMI cable that I want to plug into my Sony Bravia TV. What are the steps please. I have a monitor on the VGA port to the Dell but do not know the settings for the PC or TV to recognise each other. Question from John.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

The 7900GS does have Dual-Link DVI connectors, but many of them did not support full Dual-Link capability that is required for the 30" display.
Your Video Cards may not support the display, I would try them elsewhere or replace it with a more recent 8000 or 9000 series card

You may have left out a couple of steps.
Now, you need to configure the new display, by selecting "Control Panel" from the "Start" Menu. Then double-click the "Display" icon and click the "Settings" tab.
The manual for your HDMI TV will list the screen resolutions it supports, along with the refresh rates. Configure the resolution in the "Settings" tab, and then click the "Advanced" button to set the refresh rate.
If you are using the HDMI TV as the second monitor, you will also have to configure how it is used by Windows, according to the instructions pertaining to your video card. Most cards offer a "Clone" or "Mirror" mode, where both screens display the same content. Alternately, the "Extended Desktop" mode can be used, in which each monitor will operate independently.
Now, again, reboot your PC to apply the changes.
