I bought a standard rowing machine and they sent a guy to set it up - but he didn't properly attach the handlebar to the cord, so it flicked back into the machine in the first minute I used it. Not too happy about it ;) Any quick fix for getting it out or do I need to deconstruct the whole thing?

SOURCE: Slack in line on rowing machine

extend the line to its max required length while you are sitting on the machine { as using } then get someone else to adjust the slack on the line and make it taught , the adjustment should be a bolt and nut type located on the main wheel . do not adjust the line from the seat as this may dislodge the seat . happy rowing

SOURCE: My rowing machine is no longer reeling back the

I don't what type of rower you have, but for the most part you will have to pull the unit one layer at a time ( suggest you take picture of the process) and one point a return mechanism should be visible that may have detached or broken. After identifying then contact the manufacturer sometimes they may even e-mail the procedure of replacing the defective component or components.

Loss of tension for a kettle coach rowing machine

The fly wheel has a 'freewheel' mechanism similar to the rear wheel on a bicycle. It needs cleaning and regreasing with light grease to free it up and make it work properly. The job is not difficult but needs some diy knowledge. Before trying to remove the fly wheel some slack will need to be created on the 'bungee' return cord and anchored securely. You will also require circlip pliers to remove the shaft. The freewheel mechanism is a set of needle bearings that move forward in their recess to allow the wheel to rotate and move back and lock when the wheel rotates in the opposite direction. These need to be free moving and old grease thickens and becomes sticky. Clean with something like GT 85 and regrease with a light grease.

Can you change a four prong pigtail with a three prong pigtail on a whirlpool duet dryer

Yes, you surely can!
Here's how.
When you open up the back of the machine where the electric cord attaches, you will see a row of 3 screws/bolts.
Your 4 wire cord has the black wire going to one of those screw/bolts. That is a HOT connection.
Your cord also has a red wire attached to a screw/bolt. It too is HOT.
These two hot connections are the outside two of the row of three screws/bolts.
The one in the middle is a ground wire, and is white.
The other, the fourth wire, usually blue or green, it is attached directly to the sheet metal of the dryer itself.
It too is ground..

Now, the 3 wire cord is not color coded, it is "position" coded.
The two outside wires go to the outside (in the row of 3) screw/bolts of the dryer. the middle wire is hooked to the middle ground screw.
It doesn't matter whether the outside wires go to the right screw or the left screw, but never to the middle screw.
By the same token, never hook the middle wire to an outside screw/bolt.
You will have no fourth wire going to the sheet metal.
Be blessed.

Bought a this used tv and set it up to cable but cant get all the channels how do you reset the channels

On the remote press the middle button in the arrow keys area (round part of remote) to access the menus.

Go to the one on the bottom row to far right (set).and press that center (select) button again..

Go to Prog Chan and select this option.

Go to mode and make sure that "cable" is selected.

Ensure the cable connection is properly attached to the tv.

Select Auto Program and wait for it to complete its search.

Upon completion of its cycle you should have all you available channels

Good Luck.

My integrity air 3000 has a elastic like cord attached to the underside to the chain. The elastic cord is now unraveling. Where would I get it repaired? I live in Columbia, Missouri. Thanks, Patti O.

Call Fitness Qwest at 800 321-9236 for the part. They will need the serial number of the machine (on the back stand underneath. All of the parts are easy to replace. It is an easy machine to work on.

Kia Sedona seat stuck

Got it, with the help and eyes of my wife. The rear latch releases as the seat back is lowered. This release is ALMOST seat back down (about 3 inches above the seat bottom). As the seat back lowers, apply constant lift on the rear latch, and it will release as the seat back lowers. Hard-won knowledge - I think I invented some bad words in the process.

Searching for a wiring diagram for my E machine....

Industry Standard Architecture exists here.

The pin arrangements for USB are standard, some usb headers are attached to the boards in the opposite direction but the pin arrangement is the same.

USB headers consist of 9 pins, arranged as 4 pins and one missing, and 5 pins like this:
x x x x o

these are marked as:

vcc1 usb 0- usb 0+ n/c
vcc2 usb 1- usb 2+ n/c

colours are:
red, white green black

Note: some motherboards have these connectors back to front but the connection sare as per the diagram

the audio header is arranged as follows:

X X X O X

top row = gnd, vcc5, mic2,n/c line

bottom row = mic1,mic r, line out,front spk r, lin out L

The cable colours may differ but the preformed plug will only fit in one place /direction

"Lens not attached" warning when lens is in fact attached.

Hello. Check the area around the lens mount carefully - specifically the contacts. Make sure all are clean and protruding the same. If one is lower than the rest, try 'flicking' it with a fingernail (lightly) to see if it will pop up to the height of the others. It may have dirt or a particle of dust lodged. If this doesn't help, get the lens to Nikon for a check-up.
