Not sure what you mean and what model it is, sometimes in the electronics if the CENTER function is activated by hitting a key the typewriter will type backwards, then when you hit the carriage return it will print and the line will be in the center of the margins, do not know if this helps but could be answer.

My typewriter doesn't move forward every time i type ... what do i do?

You may need to reset your margins with the margin set button on either side of the roller. If the carriage is stuck right in the middle and will not move forwards or backwards, there is a little toggle button right under the carrier return handle. You may have to turn your TW on it's right side to see this small hidden button. This locks the carriage down for travel. Find that little toggle and move it.

MY typewriter roller will not move

By any chance did you remove the platen (the long black roller that the paper raps around)? It might be installed backwards. The drive gear will not mesh with the motor if this is done. And trust me it is easy to do, I have done it a few times myself.

The typewriter is only typing lines

Check the printwheel for bent or broken spokes or even in backwards.

How do I reset the Daisy wheel?

Turn the typewriter off. There is a release lever for the daisy wheel. it will rock backwards. take out the daisy wheel. Turn on the unit..the daisy wheel motor spins to the home position. inset the daisy wheel carrier, snap the carrier closed. You should be in home position. if not turn it offf and on again, the daisy wheel should spin. if not do the proceedure over again.
Happy typing

Replaced Typewriter Ribbon & Now Correction Tape doesn't work

Is the ribbon that you installed a correctable one? It should have a yellow or orange knob to turn it. If that knob is blue, you installed a multistrike or non-correctable ribbon.

The only other thing is you have the correction tape in backwards

check that there is nothing dropped into the typewriter that may be blocking the carrier try turning the machine off and moving the carrier by hand to the right side,if it moves ok then turn it back on space the place it stops , touch the MR (margin release button) then try spacing further to the right nad reset the right margin.

Correction Tape

Check the way the correct tape is installed. I have seen people twist them around the guide backwards and the correction material is facing away from the paper. Also can you see the correction tape lifting up?
