put large u shaped pip in the bag pull the small end out of the hole in the other end with the u shape on top where the strap is the large end stayes in the bag , remove the blower pipe off the front end and put the u pipe in the front of blower put the rib in the grove turn it till it locks, now get a screwdriver find the latch on the front end of the vacuum cover on the left side of blower, put the screwdriver in latch lean screw driver towards the front and pull up on the cover hold the cover open till you have the large pipe in the hole turn and align the tabs with the slots then you know push it push it in real good then turn it counter clock wise till it clicks then get the pipe with the slant on the end align the slots and groves and then push it push it in real good you did not post what model you have so here is a manual hard to read so luck at the pictures good luck and push it push it real good when you get finished with the yard ! I have a Craftsman electric Blower/Vac with no operatorers/instruction manual. I would have liked to use the vac option but have no idea how to couple the pipes together and attach the bag for this...

For maybe getting a manual, go to:
http://www.manualsonline.com/
You will find that you open the bottom vent, put a large suction tube in the recess and remove the blower tube and attatch a collection bag on the housing that held the blower tube. That's all there is to it.

Hoover windtunnel dirt finder light stays red. We've cleaned the elbow the roller the hose and have a clean bag. The vacuum is new only had it for 3 months.

I'm not sure about a 3 month old vac, I'd probably go the warranty route. However, for the older vacs thy start getting false positives. The sensor is simply a microphone hooked to a computer chip detecting sounds of dirt entering the bag.
To rig it to start working, you'll need to remove the tool accessory tray and elbow that enters the back of the vac, and attached to the bag. This will reveal the microphone at the elbow, and wire that runs into the bottom area of the vac. When on, a large amount of air comes from the bottom screw and area where the wires enter. My fix was to clean up the microphone contact points a little bit with a screwdriver, and then leave the vac running while putting in dampering in the hole at the bottom, and around the back of the elbow. Cotton balls and electrical tape at the bottom hole, and napkins around the outside of the elbow (wedged between the back of the vac assembly and elbow did the trick). The schematic for the vac is here: http<colon>//www<dot>vacsrus<dot>com/CartGenie/pg_U6485900<dot>asp
Look for micrphone.

Need to know how to attach vac bag

The bag should fasten to the blower where the blowing tube comes out. (blowing tube is removed to install the bag, and a pick up tube is installed on the 'screen door') It should have a tightening strap or velcro to hold it in place.

I'm trying to set up my vac as a blower! Help

Take the cloth bag and mini-imptor ofthe f. Then take you suction hose "that you would normaly put on the front" attach it to the side where you took the emptor off. It should lock on with a simple twist and lock. Now you have a blower. However you will need the intake guard assy. on the front of your kirby. Refer to the manual for that attachment. Good luck.

Can't install a bag for my Craftsman 16 gallon shop-vac

Well, good news, you don't need a bag! The trash just settles to the bottom of the bucket and you just dump it out.

I own one of these -- it has many little operational anoyances -- like wheels falling off, lid popping off, etc. If you run into these scenarios and want help on fixes, drop me a line.

Would you please rate my response. I think you'll see some icons at the bottom of the post to enter a rating.

thanks...

I need to know how to change my kirby into a blower?

Raise the light assessory on the front of the vac. Remove the roller assembly by rotating the square dial as indicated by the arrows. Then you must attach the accessory that sort of looks like a 4 inch square open box to the front of the vac where you removed the roller assembly and lock into place. Next you remove your bag assembly by unsnapping at the top of the handle to the vac, then at the base of the bag assembly you must unlock the plastic base from the metal vac unit by turning it counter clockwise and then pulling off. Finally you attach the hose assembly where you removed the bag assembly and lock into place by turning clockwise (reverse of taking off bag assembly base). Put vac in neutral and power on. Now you will blow from the hose assembly.

hi in answer to your question regarding the belt driven roller/brush on bottom of vac ? the nswer is yes it still rotates when you are using the tools on connection to flex hose ie stair carpet or areas the vac will not enter one word of advice ! if you use the vac/tools to vac the car interior as i and others do ? then ensure that whilst vac is stood and the flex hose and tool are in use? suggest you stand the vac on a flat surface(not the tarmacdrive or any porouse surface) preferably a rubber mat? or board so the rollerbrush is not subject to damage or apt to pick up stone chips etc which will eventually damage the motor impellor hope this helps answer your question and understand the safety point i mentioned best wishes
