The problem could be frozen ice around the thermostat, so the thermostat cannot recognize the actual temperature. The thermostat is inside, where you set the temperature.
So defrost your refrigurator complete, make it dry and try once more. If the problem is still the same, that means the thermostat does not open (is defective). In this case it could be cheaper to buy a new refrigurator instead repairing it.

One of 3 things: Worst case- Thermostat is gone and it is probably beyond economical repair. Perhaps it needs re-gassing or the easiest thing; Just adjust the temperature on the thermostat

SOURCE: not getting cold

It is a defrost problem, but until I get model number and who made the refrigerator I won't be able to help you. The model number is most times located near bottom of door on fresh food compartment. Go to site and scroll down to model number locations, Thanks Sea Breeze http://servicepartstec.blogspot.com/ email appliancepartsse@yahoo.com

As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer2_bing.gif and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...

Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...

When I run into a refrigerator acting like this I start by thinking controls. Controls like defrost, temperature, compressor start components and once I see what it may be I have a look at the likely problem location. Your model appears to have an ADC adaptive Defrost Control=> 67004704 Adaptive Defrost Control
sea_breeze_122.jpg

Here is a photo location of the part=> MSD2652KEB Control Panel
Look inside the fresh food compartment and behind the controls part 12 is your ADC. Once you change that things should begin to get colder providing other parts of the defrost system are OK. Have you noticed ice buildup in back of freezer as a layer of frost building on the rear wall? When you say not cold enough that points to a restriction of air flow caused by no defrost. If I missed anything please let me know. I do think once the ADC is changed you will see it cooling again normally or manual defrost with a hair dryer will keep you for a couple days. Thanks, Sea Breeze

Our 3 months old refrigrator will get so cols that freezes food products.

There are actually 2 cold controls on refrigerator-freezers. The main control is within the refrigerator cavity, the other is located in the freezer cavity. The one in the freezer is usually only a cold air deflector. It takes the cold air that is produced and divides it proportionally between the freezer and refrigerator sides. Set the control in the refrigerator to about mid-range. Set the control in the freezer to mid range. That is your starting point. If the freezer is not cold enough, adjust the freezer control. If the refrigerator s not cold enough, adjust the fridge control. After any adjustments, you MUST wait at least 24 hours for the temp to equalize before making any more adjustments. It may take a week to get it set right. This is true for all refrigerator-freezer combinations. Be patient.

Produce freezes

You've probably set your temp in the main box too low.  It should be about 40 F or 4 C.  Don't leave produce on the bottom of the fridge.  Cold air sinks.  Make sure any 'cold vents' are closed in that bin.

Crisper produce freezing

are they long times between door openings of the doors, this can cause cold air to migrate to the bottom of the fresh foor area and freeze produce

if this is not the issue, then turn down the fresh food control to a lower number monitor for 24 hrs

if this does not help replace the fresh food thermastat
