SOURCE: Stoves 900GDO Bottom oven door seal

The handbook tells you how to take the door off. If you can do this, do so and then clean/spray all the door hinge mechanisms with WD40. Remove the surplus with kitchen towel and replace the door. Operate the door a number of times to see if this has cleared the problem. (Over time the hinges seize up and the WD 40 normally eases this situation).
(Don't be confused with the air flow coming out of the oven from the cooling fan as this also runs along the top edge of the door).

How do I replace the bottom oven element in a CDA CD 907 double oven

ISOLATE MAINS POWER BEFORE WORKING ON THIS APPLIANCE
Remove the back of the oven check temp controller before replacing or buying element, as this can often stop any heat being produced. The element is in front of the fan, if this model is fan assisted, remove fan, after removing element inspect to see any small hole in metal, if you see a large hole more than 10mm , this could be a sign that the fan needs cleaning. Clean fan with WD40, do not switch oven on untill fan has dried off. Then replace element, switch oven on low with door open, if you feel slight heat, go for a full test, gradually build up heat, keep on for at least 30 mins, make sure the oven reaches temp, you can expect some smell from a new element, this is protective oil, and considered normal.

The oven wont turn on,fan works but heat wont come on

Most likely you have a faulty fan element- this is a round element that goes around the fan at the back. To check- Disconnect from power(easiest way is to switch off oven at fuse board). Remove rear panel inside oven (held on by screws), and visually check element- often you will see a blow mark on the element. Element is easily changed, although sometimes requires oven to be removed to access element wires from the back. Proceed if you are a confident DIYer, otherwise call a local service agent. Elements are readily available for $75-$125 depending on the retailer. Can give further advice if you provide a model number. Good luck!!

Got a fan assisted gas oven. Trying to bake a cake

Temperature control with gas ovens is not an exact science. However the control should be better than you say.

Have you tried reducing the set temperature to compensate for the 'overshoot'. It may be worth a try.

My CDA fan oven will not get hot

Ok , classic example of a fan oven element blowing, take the cover off inside the cooker held on by 4 screws so you can see the round element, you should be able to see where its blown a big hole.
replace element
( make the cooker is turned off of course)

Bottom element broken

Mark,

There should be an element on the top, used for broiling, and then one on the bottom. If you look inside the oven carefully at this element and the top as well, should should be able to see a small blown out spot, or even a break.

If you do, turn off the range at the breaker box, and two screws should take it out. Take that and the model number of your stove to an appliance parts dealer. It won't be very expensive, although he may have to order it in for you.

If the above is not the case please write back.

Electrolux oven wont heat up after power cut

hiya
sounds like the fan element could have blown, causing the electrics to trip out. best thing to do is remove all the racking
and then the rear panel that covers the fan and element. if he element has blown most of the time it will be visible.

hope this helps

please dont forget to rate the helpfulness of this reply thanks kj

Single oven not heating

diydoris, you would have to have someone ohm out the lower element to make sure it is good. If the element is good, then your problem probably is in the TCO. This is a thermostat that sits on the back of the oven that can go bad. You can test this with a meter, if it shows open (no continuity) its bad. Part number for the TC0 is 4450934. Part number for the element is 4448696. Catriver...post back.
