Hi when you said "will not come on" you said about the reciever or the complete head and reciever?

Testimonial: "I have been able to trace the power all the way to the power button. If i ground out the light the light will come on. I get power in most areas of the unit that i have tested. There is 120v at the coil then it reduces down at different areas of the unit. Nothing will work at the face. Will not come on by power button or remote"

I am having the exact same problem with my CMD6. The sirius worked fine with my CMD4, but has the same problem with constantly rebooting when I hook it up to the CMD6. Did you find a solution?

No power

You blew a fuse in the car plug. Unscrew the top of the car charger and you will find a fuse inside. You can get replacement fuses at a hardware store or Radioshack.

Stays on even if HU (CDA-9833) is off

It is possible that the SIR unit stays powered as long as the red wire is powered, since it is normally connected to a switched source. To test this, disconnect the red wire or move it to a switched source (you could even add a switch on the wire and flip it manually). If the battery stays healthy after that, then the red wire being constantly powered is the problem. Otherwise, it is possible there is a problem with the Ai-NET cable connected to the SIR unit.
