I've never seen a comercial fridge with fans. I think you speak about the compessor. Assumed the fridge has power (iside light when you open the door) that means the thermostat is defective. Your fridge needs a new thermostat. It could be cheaper to buy a new one.

MY FRIDGE ISNT GETTING COLD

Whilpool uses a fan at the back of the freezer to circulate air. If it burns out, the fridge will still cool, but not as well.
However, these don't usually burn out. What usually happens is that ice builds up and prevents air from circulating. If that is the case then you probably need a new bimetal temperature sensor on your cooling coils. This sensor sits at the back of the freezer (behind the wall) and tells the fridge when to defrost. If it doesn't then the ice will plug up the vents and may even stop the fan from working. Hope this helps.

Refrigerator and freezer not cool

Try unplugging the fridge for a day or two and then plug it back in and see if it starts working. If the refrigerator has froze inside and the defrost system is not working, letting it thaw out for a day or two may bring it back to life, until it freezes again. The fan inside the fridge must circulate air, it must be working or it will allways freeze up and not cool.
The fan and compressor must also be working underneath the fridge. When working properly, one of the lines from the compressor will feel hot and the other cool off. The radiator coil must not be clogged and air should flow freely thru it with the fan running.

Without more details as to how old it is and what kind of condition it is in, I would recommend you have it looked at by a refrigeration professional.

When a fridge is no longer cooling, the main culprits are clogs caused by frozen sections of the air circulation path, refrigerant leaks and faulty compressors. A professional technician can diagnose both. If the compressor is bad, refrigerant is not changing phases (which causes the cooling to occur). If there is a leak, there is not enough refrigerant to compress and the fridge will never cool.

Sometimes the fan is faulty, so the cold air will not circulate into the fridge.

Since your fridge has been sitting, you likely do not have any clogs caused by freezing. If your freezer side works but not the fridge, you either have dual compressors (and the fridge compressor is bad) or you have blockage in the air circulation path. There is also a very slim chance that the light inside your fridge is remaining on and generating heat.

Whirlpool refrigerator does not cool on refrigerator side. Freezer side works as it should.

most fridges have coils on the freezer side and circulate cold air to the fridge side. if the freezer is freezing, then the air circulation to fridge is not taking place. find the air ports and make sure they are not closed or blocked (they should be adjustable to vary fridge temp) and check the fan on the freezer side as it achieves circulation.

I have a ge refridgerator gss25k side by side. thefridge/freezer are not cooling. the bottom of the fridge freezes and the top is warm.

There is an air duct that connects the fridge to the freezer. A fan circulates air to cool the refrigerator.
The inside fan has stopped working or is blocked by ice.
Defrost the freezer. If the fridge starts to work properly then you have an auto defrost problem. If the fridge still does not work then there is a faulty fan.
A technician can help you there

Fridge is not cool enough 12 degrees C. Freezer is -3 degrees

The cooling air outlet is clogged or blocked. Cool air is not entering the fridge section as indicated by the low temperature in the freezer section. It shows that the compressor is working fine and the system is good. If your unit has a brushless DC fan motor that circulates air to the fridge section, it may not be working properly or not working at all. You have to replace it.

Creda R335NW Fridge/Freezer. The fridge section is not cooling down anymore, The freezer is working ok. Any ideas please?

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp

If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

Westinghouse fridge: no cool air circulating inside

Art, I need to get a little more information from you. Does the condenser fan under the refrigerator seem to work and blowing warm air from below and or behind the refrigerator? The motor feeling warm is OK. Only when too hot to touch on top. Needs to cycle also. When you opened the freezer did you hear the fan blowing? Thanks, JT
