Question about Televison & Video
The TV has been working fine for at least 2 years plus. Now the left half of the screen is completely black and the right hand side has a perfect picture, all other features are working fine
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Your TV's primary control board may have gone bad and when the TV heats up to a certain tempurature and then it goes back to normal i suggest a new tv but you can order new parts and replace it yourself, if you need parts I can get a list of parts that may fix the TV

Just taken mine in for repair and was told this. "After checks to Switching and Data flow to PDP, Suspect the Plasma display panel to be at fault
which also may well have caused damage to the buffer and logic boards."
I am presently trying to get currys to replace it as it 18 months old.
Forgot to say was quoted £1200 to fix!!!!

SOURCE: Only the left half works
You could try removing the ribbon cable directly under where the lines are from the X module and clean the cable and reinsert it. You could have a bad X Module if cleaning doesn't fix it.
Let me know if this helps.

it seems to be a bad connection somewhere but I disconnected the ribbon cable and got a verticle line of snow instead of a blank line. the line is about 34 mm wide and starts 285 mm from the left edge starts on the Blue and goes to the Red pixels. so if they are 1mm wide that would be 34 bands of color.
I would sure like to figure out the solution to this one or I got a TV I need to throw away cause the o'lady is gonna bust my balls if I can't fix this!

THIS set uses 2 boards inside--one drives the left and the other the right side of the screen.
You have to id which is which (GOOGLE?) AND replace it-every brand has different names for these but it sounds like your problem
Some research (you or me) should give a board breakdown for this model---not looking for main or power board but another like sustain etc. and there will be 2 listed (for right and the left sides)
