Car made a ticking noise on my way home thought maybe oil parked car it sat for about an hour moved it about 3 metres no problems half hour later went to start it and it ran but was really rough ran for about 10 seconds then stopped Put oil in so that is fine but still won't start

When you say won't start... will it not turn over or will it turn over but not start. If it is cranking but no start I'd say the ECU is beginning to fail (very common in early 90's Mitsubishi's) If need be there is a way you can check the ECU for codes with a standard analog multimeter. Please let me know.
Thanks,
Tom

double check your vacuum hoses, fuel filter, plugs and wires and air filter.

Battery is dead... get a volt meter, jump the car and with the car running on its own power check the voltage, anything less than 12v could point to an alternator but a new battery is a better place to start. put it to you this way if the car shuts off while driving, then its your alt, and if its fine wen drivin but wont start back up... its all battery

Could try running additive like Wynns Engine Tune-Up to free up stuck hyd. lifter. Another old remedy is to run ATF 50/50 with 5W30 motor oil.
