Question about Edifier M1360 2.1 Multimedia Speaker System

1 Answer

My Edifier M1360 speakers will only work when plugged into the headphone jack and I can't get all three speakers working at the same time. What can I do?

I am trying to get my new speakers working correctly but I can only get the front two satellites working without the subwoofer, or only the subwoofer to work at any one time. The speakers will only work when plugged into the green output. Don't know much about speakers please help!

The sub woofer green 1/8 inch plug goes into the audio card either the front or the back of the pc. the jack it plug into is normally the green one. the two speakers normally join together on one card and plug into the subwoofer. also look for a on/off know to the speakers for power. normally on one of the little speakers. make sure it is on.

Connect my BA7800 to my laptop that only has a headphone jack

As you stated in your question there are 3 3.5mm headphone jacks connected to the speakers. Green is for headphones, red is for microphone, and black is probably just a line in connector.

plug the green connector from the speakers into your headphone port on your laptop and it should work.

because the speakers are self powered and have a few adjustment knobs on them, you will have to tinker with the volume coming from the laptop and from the speakers, so you don't have distorted, scratchy sound from the speakers when playing music at loud levels.

my suggestions is turn the laptop volume down to a quater of the volume and then turn the speakers up, let the speakers do the hard work and not the laptop..

No sound playing from either speaker on the Edifier Multimedia Speaker M3300 setup.

Go to http://www.edifier.ca/french/speakers/m3300/m3300-EN-FR-manual.pdf and check the troubleshooting guide. I notice it says to check to make sure the mute button on the remote is off. Try it without the remote plugged in, also. Try hooking up another device with a headphone jack like an mp3 player. The only other thingI can think of would be a blown fuse, which sometimes lets a small signal through with some amps, but I don't see any fuse holder.

Dell D810 speakers do not work, but headphone jack does work

It seems as though you might have a bad plug, There is a set of tabs that tell the laptop whether to use the speakers or the headphones. This switch may of locked into the headphones position. This is probably a case of where you would need to replace or repair the headphones port. check to make sure there is nothing in the port to block it. You can also try applying some light oil on the end of a headphones jack and placing it in and out several times to break free a possible stuck part. It also may be a case that the solder mark on the board has disconnected itself from the headphones jack and needs reseating. This would be a difficult fix but not at all impossible.

Sound is working but internal speaker is not working

Connecting headphones to the system will disabled the internal speakers until the headphone jack is disconnected, at which such time the internal speakers should function again.

If you disconnect the headphones and the internal speakers are not re-activated, then there may be damaged to the microswitch in the jack. (Try rebooting after the headphones are disconnected too)
