I had sound on monitor now i dont, checked the volume and it is way up, restarted puter and still doesnt work

Check that the cable is fully seated on both the computer and the monitor. Try a new audio cable (3.5 mm male on both sides). If these do not help, check if the computer audio works with other speakers.

I've found that the speakers in a monitor will fail before the monitor does. The price to fix them is such that you're better off getting new speakers.

I hope some of this helps.

Speakers are not working. I do not have a manual for the product. I am assuming that the speakers are built in since there appears to be no input jack on the monitor into which speakers can be plugged.

So u are using this lcd monitor with ur pc? been trying to look it around and i really dont think this one have built in speakers, u need to plug ur speakers to ur pc, not to ur monitor.

I have the compaq FP 7317 monitor and the speakers on it dont seem to work how can i fix it? i tryed plugging in other speakers but those work either

Make sure that your soundcard is properly installed as are it's drivers. Check to see that sound is not muted. This can be done via the speaker icon in the system tray or from sound in control panel.

Built in monitor speakers not working

Did u check with the volume button on the side of the monitor.
Also pls check the connections and also the volume settings in windows.

If they dont work, then try with external speakers to find out if it is a problem with the mionitor or the speakers.
