I cant set my own message tone on my Galaxy y pro duo phone. Please can you show me how to set it?

Create a folder on your SDCard named media, inside a folder name sounds and then folders named ringtones,p alarms and notifications. Like this
/media/sounds/ringtones
/media/sounds/alarms
/media/sounds/notifications

Put the desired mp3 inside the folders where you want them to appear and voila.

I have put a few ringtones from my previous Samsung via bluetooth on my Galaxy Ace. I would like to connect a ringtone to a contact. Is that possible? If yes, can you supply me with the solution.

To assign ringtone to your contact on Samsung Galaxy Ace:
  1. Press the contacts icon.
  2. Press the letter bar on the right side of the display to find the first letter of the required contact.
  3. Press and hold the required contact until a pop-up menu is displayed.
  4. Press Edit

I am trying to change my text message ringtone. I would like to put a song from my music as a message ringtone.

Thank you for using FixYa,
You can't change the messaging tone to a song from your music playlist, these options for choosing your own music as ringtones are restricted to an alarm tone, phone ringtone and caller ringtone (caller ringtone is when specific people calls you, a certain ringtone would appear for that caller to differentiate between callers)
However, you can change your message ringtone to certain ringtones for your Galaxy S phone by going through the following steps: (P.S I am assuming that you are using the stock Samsung SMS application)
1) Go to your stock Samsung SMS app (it's named as 'Messaging')
2) Press the softkey 'menu' button
3) Go to settings, scroll down and from there you can see the option 'select ringtone'

Cheers!
