Auto Channel Search does not find any channels

No channels display. Just snow. Verified cable is working properly by hooking up another TV. Did a factory reset and ran Auto Channel Search again. Any ideas?

Do a hard reset to this set, and check. There are two types of reset to TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight; will be better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.
If a hard reset do not help you, its main system control memory IC is faulty, and should be replaced. Contact any service technician.

The tuner section, and or the voltage regulator circuit that supplies it is probably failing. The service rep for your set may be able to order a new tuner module and install it. This is not a type of repair you can do yourself.

Turn your TV off and unplug it for several minutes. Remove the batteries from any remote controls that you use for the TV, press all of their buttons, and install fresh batteries. Reset the TV to factory defaults. The universal remote control should not have caused any damage to the TV. If the problem persists, we recommend that you seek service by calling 1-888-237-8289 in the U.S or 1-866-237-8289 in Canada.

Wont find channels on auto channel search

Ensure that you have a good connection to your antenna/cable/satellite, and that you have selected the proper signal type in your TV menu.

If you are using a cable box or satellite, you might need to search for an analog signal on channel 3 or 4. If your cable/satellite box outputs an HDTV signal, then search the digital channels. If you are using an antenna, search for digital channels and set it the TV to Air in the Channel menu.

Go into menu and switch from Cable to Air-Antenna. Then run auto programming.

No picture or sound

If you see only snow and the words "NO SIGNAL" are displayed, and you know that you have the set hooked up to a good signal and the TV is set to the right channel, it means that your tuner has stopped working and needs to be replaced. First, though, make sure your signal is good. A good way to test this is to hook the TV to a good VCR, put in a good pre-recorded tape and hit play. Tune the TV to channel 3 (or 4) and if it is still all snow, have the tuner replaced by a qualified tech.

Can't get any tv reception

My friend, you need to hook up a signal source such as an antenna or cable . The channels wont come in and it will all depend on where you live and how close to a major city on what and how good you will get the stattions. then once an antennena is connected, do the auto programming again. Good Luck
