Look at the bottom of the unit, just below where the tray opens, look for a small hole. If its there, that's the manual release. Straighten a paperclip and push it into the small hole to release the tray lock.

SOURCE: blue ray player wont play blue ray ''Kung Fu Panda'' disc.

i fixed this exactly as previous posted solutions, however a couple of points.
a) recordable CDs work if you don't have a DVD burner.
b) I didn't have a CD burner that would do an "image burn", I downloaded a free copy of "Express Burn" and that worked fine. The disk needs to be "finalised" or "fixated", it should do this automatically, or it may be a tick box selection.
c) I got a "No DWLD 09" when I put the disk into the player. I found this was an incompatibility with the CD-R (Maxwell) I was using. I changed to JVC and it worked fine.

SOURCE: Toy Story 3 will not

Have you updated your Blu-Ray player recently? All BD players need to be updated from time to time because of the growing technology of Blu-Ray. Its always been a con of BD players. Best thing to do is have your player connect to the internet.
I hope this is the back of your player. Connect your Cat5 (Ethernet cable) to your BD player and than to your router or modem. The port should look like this on the back of your player.

Once you have this connected start your player and it will have a option in the menu to update. Once the update is complete Toy Story 3 and all new BD discs should work. If not, its possible that the disc is bad. More often you just need to update the player.

My blue ray player quit playing any dvd/cd etc.apps still work.what could be the problem?

When you load a disc can you you hear it spinning? If not then the primary drive motor or drive mechanism is broken . If it is spinning can you hear the laser extract information as it boots up ?
If it spins and then comes up with disc error or any non compliance message then the laser may be out of sync or jammed. Be very carful if you decide to open it up on your own as obviously you run the risk of a fatal electricity shock.
blue ray disc players and especially temperamental if they are in say a ps3 or have a dual function.
my opinion is to have a professional look at it .
good luck

Error message when my Blue Rays reads dvds

It's a software issue. you need to ring the manufacturer to get files and instructions on how to upgrade your machine so it can play the newer blu ray movies. Quite a common problem.

Is it normal when you turn on a visio dvd blue ray player, you hear a sound.

You might hear the disc drive spin to read if there is a disc and what kind of disc it is. Other than that it is fairly quiet.

While playing a dvd disk, the player stopped and displayed SYS ERR. cannot remove this disk

Some (not all) DVD players have a manual open mechanism on them. It's a tiny hole under or near the DVD drawer where you can insert a stiff wire (straightened paper clip) straight in and push gently to force it open. Most PC CDROM drives have these; not sure about Blue Ray players.

My dvd player says "wrong disc" for all dvds

Sounds like the DVD/Blue ray laser has gotten dust on it.

I would go to your local electronics store and purchase a cleaning disk. They are normally under $10. Insert it and run it though the player.

This sound no more serious than a dirty read laser.
