Question about Lands Phones

Open Question

How can I turn on the volume of my out-going-message when I am home (monitoring incoming phone calls)? Up until now (when we just had a prolonged power outage), when the phone rang, I could hear both the outgoing message as well as the incoming message and I could adjust the volume for each message (OGM as well as the ICM). Now, I can only hear the incoming message. I remember having this problem once before (a number of years ago) and I was able to fix it, but now, I can't seem to remember how I solved this vexing problem. I would greatly appreciate any help on this issue. Thank You, Dave 917-721-5163

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

SOURCE: number of rings on Panasonic phone

Press the menu button and scroll to "ringer setting" and set to what you want. If that does not work scroll to "initial setting" and that lets you change the number of rings you want it on. When you set it to the number then hit save to save it and it will give you more rings. The second one "initial setting" is what I used.

SOURCE: Heavy Static on phones. Can't hear caller. No caller ID

Room monitoring mode is basically a type of Intercom.

Press the *TONE/exit button on the handset to exit room monitor mode.

I will provide you with link to the user manual of the phone. Have a check at it. Might be useful.

SOURCE: Incoming calls on home phone ring 1 time and then extreme static

When you unplug everything connected to the phone jack what happens? If it works, you have too many ringers or a short on the line. If it still trips the ring, you have a defective box.

My Apple I phone will vibrate on incoming calls but my ring tone will not come on

If the switch on the side of the phone is flipped down (red showing) then it is set to silent/vibrate mode. If that isn't it, then go to your home screen and try pressing the volume up button on the side of your phone several times until it reaches the desired volume.

How can I silence incoming messages so that these can not be heard by others present but will be stored in the phone until I'm ready to listen?

This feature is called call screening. To turn off call screening, press and hold the down arrow button on base unit while screening a call until the call screening volume turns off. I have included a link where you can download the manual for your phone /answering systemin case you need it. Turning call screening off is on page 31.

When i receive a text message my nokia E72 doesnt ring, what could be the problem?

Does the phone ring when you receive an incoming call? If so, press Menu go to Control Panel (or might be the profile is shown in the menu) after control panel, Profile then Options and then Personalize, then, scroll down and again select Message Alert Tone, set the Tone for the message. Also make sure that the volume is turned up. Save the settings and try again. If this doesn't help and you don't hear any ring tone during an incoming call, let me know after checking the sound settings.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.
