SOURCE: craftsman lawn mower
I had both my front wheels wobbly - so I cut shims from a tin can - wrapped the axle of the wheels with the shims and then inserted them back into the plastic bushes. It was a snug fit - but helped quite a lot.

Go to "sears.com", have your model number ready and go to the parts link. You will beable to view an exploded view of your mower and order parts on line if you like.
Hope this fixes your question, let me know.

Check the adjustment from the lever to the transaxle, if the linkage is ok the transaxle may be suffering from age and has leaking internal seals.

the bar connecting the wheels is bent. this is easy to change. just pull the pins out on both sides and lift the rod out. you can straighten it in a vise or order a new one through sears. cost about $12. our local repair shop keeps them on hand.
