What oil reservoir. Is it 2 or 4 stroke. If your fuel system has a float bowl with needle and seat that needle may have stuck or otherwise leaked fuel into the engine, past the rings and into the crankcase. Otherwsie you need to post more information about what engine etc etc you have.

I have a snap-on gas powered pressure washer870591 with about 8 hours on it with a 7HP XT210 engine. While stored over the winter gas filled the oil reservoir.

The most likely cause is the methanol in the fuel degraded the rubber on the needle valve in the carburetor filling the oil with the fuel. Fix: use premium fuel, turn of the fuel and run dry when season ends. Repair the current situation, change the oil, kit the carb, (you can actually just drop the float bowl and replace the needle and seat, but a full kit costs very little more and gives you new float ) Hope this helps, Stay safe!

This video diagnosed the problem and that the float sensor wasn't working in the reservoir bottle. Replacing the reservoir is the fix.

Troy-bilt cultivator 26cc gas/oil separate engine spewing oil out through filter when running...there is a hose from the oil reservoir straight into the back of the filter...as the engine revs it literally...

Hi, Check the oil reservoir breather that it's not plugged up. The oil should be returning back to the reservoir not going to the filter. That tells me that there is air being pumped into the engine (oil).
The piston rings could be broken or the carberator needs to be readjusted.

Open the air screw abit more on carb. Then see what happens. Good luck.

Light is on does that mean immediate problem?

Do you have a working temp gage? If not it could be an overheating issue and ruin your motor. More than likely it just an o2 sensor, but any code could hurt your gas mileage. Most auto parts stores will hook up a scanner for free and give you an idea what is wrong.

Have a 2006 honda shadow 750 aero-not a VT-keeps blowing gas out to the air cleaner holding area and the needle valve has been replaced

It is always a good idea to always turn your gas off when not riding. This condition can happen with any bike, even new ones. Did you change your oil after it happened? After the engine has been flooded it is important to check the oil and change it if fouled with gas. If the oil reads higher than it should it is full of gas and will no longer lubricate your motor properly. If you have a vacuum operated fuel petcock and the vacuum diaphragm gets a hole in it, it can be the cause of the engine flooding with gas. Check the fuel petcock for damage and repair it with a K&L kit or a new assembly from Honda.

How do i check coolant/oil in suzuki m50 boulevard?

I was about to post for a clarification request, but I guess I'll just answer for both. To check the oil, there is a small little window on the left side of the bike. You basically just look at that window and see if its the right level. If you think your oil might be ready for changing...just do it. I change the oil every summer, and if I happen to put a couple thousand miles on it during the summer, I go ahead and change it again. I don't think there is ever a problem changing the oil too much! Anyways, here is a picture of what the little window looks like. You really have to get down to see it.
For the coolant, you have to remove a frame cover on the left side of the bike in order to view the reservoir tank. It is actually going to be behind the tool compartment. Once you take off the cover by unlocking the compartment with your key, remove the compartment by removing a few bolts. Then you will see the reservoir tank. There will be a low marker and a full marker on the reservoir. I think you can figure out the rest. Here is a picture of the reservoir tank. It is item number 11. You can't really see where it is located, but you at least get an idea as to where its at.
Hope that helps!

It looks like gas getting into the crankcase oil,

I would completely empty the oil out, add the proper amount and see if the problem re-occurs. It is pretty hard for gas to get into the oil reservoir unless someone did it for you.

Hot water coming out of a cold water pressure washer

This sounds like a heat transfer problem

You should check that the oil reservoir for the pump has oil in it. It sounds like it may be low. Also, if it is a gas model, the engine oil may be low.

Remember the pump oil reservoir should be only 1/3 to 1/2 full of non-detergent oil.

What kind of oil do I use in the oil reservoir of my chain saw?

I believe the reservoir you are talking about is for the bar chain oil. You can get it most anywhere. As for mixing the gas and oil mixture, you will need 2 cycle oil. It is available most everywhere also. Most modern chain saws use a 50:1 mixing ratio which means 2 1/2 ounces of oil to 1 gallon of gas. Hope this helps.
