Question about Audio Players & Recorders
When i want to play a minidisc i only hear noise and no music.
Jesus! It is a 25-year-old antique. And not a very good one. Splurge and buy a decent one.

Amazing what google can find...
I was ion touch with the Sony tech dept. If you get a C13 error it's because of dust on the lens causing TOC read errors. I didn't have any compressed air in a can so I used a soccer ball hand pump and pumped a ton of air just inside the door of the unit. 2 seconds later it worked fine. No cleaner MD needed.

You will need the Sony Remote Control RM-D7M to put auto pause on sony mini disc players.
On the remote control you will see a button with A.SPACE above it.Press it 3 times. Dead Easy..
I hope this cures all you people who think they bought the wrong mini disc player.
You CANNOT put auto pause on using the scroll menu.
E-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need anymore info on MD players. Good Luck.

I had the very same problem with my MDS-JE510 and I found out that it has something to do with a sliding plate that comes forward and stops too far. It is a metal pin that could be bend (very, very little) to the frontside of the recorder. I put a paper between the pin and the stopplate and the problem was really gone. Now I bend the pin so it stops earlier and voila, everything works super fine. I can send a picture of the pin, I made. It's n the leftside of the disc-unit. The only thing you have to do is open the upper cover (5 screws). Tell me if you would like to send me the picture OK? Ronnie Janssen.
