Could be a fuse but is most likely the windings or brushes on the motor. Would have to replace motor or take it and have it tested / fixed

SOURCE: Heater Control Switch Only Works on High

Your problem is probably a part called the heater resistor block or board. When this part burns out you will only have high speed on the fan. On my 1999 voyager it is located on the firewall and it snaps in a hole in the firewall. This is under the hood behind the alternator.
Mine had a multi pin black plug plugged into it. Unplug the plug and
you should be able to pull the block out insert new block and plug plug back in and it should come to life.

The heating element and heater fan in our FV-11VHL1 vent unit stopped working. How do you get at the heater box assembly to replace the fuse or thermostat? It appears to be screwed together to the heater...

Hi Ricatoni,

The procedure for doing it as as follow , patience is required..:)

First you should remove the cover by pulling down and squeezing the wire arms on each side.

Then You need an extra long screwdriver to remove the entire motor/fan/light assembly from the housing (8 screws total).

Place the assembly on the floor and look for the fuse on top.

The fuse is on the motor and not near the heater portion.

It is a ceramic, not glass, cylindrical fuse, 20 amps, 125 volts.

This fuse is sold as a microwave oven fuse & costs about 2 bucks at a hardware store.

Then you can replace, hence reinstall and then you're done.

Hope this helps ..:)

Installation of a Panasonic Fan FV-05VFL2...

If you are not very handy I don't think I'd tackle this project. There's going to be drywall cutting, backing to install, attic crawling, wiring, ducting to attach, proper insulating. As an electrician I've done this sort of thing in between 1 and 2 hours, depending on how smooth things go. If you find somebody you trust that's done it before who is willing do to it on the side for cash you're looking at $25-$60 for labor. Is it worth it to you?
