Question about Garden

After replacing the flywheel on my leaf blower, the impeller assembly keeps spinning off while I'm trying to start it. Why won't it stay after tightening it down?

Both top and bottom nuts as the flat and lock washers spin off with the impeller. Model #41FR280G034

Try disassembling the unit again and when reassembling add some loctite to the shaft when you put the nuts back on. Let it set overnight to dry and then try running it again.

Sounds like a piece of wood is caught under/between the impellor and the case/housing. When removing the impellor, you may find it has a left hand threaded nut.

I have a Craftsman 794774 leaf blower/vac w/25cc engine that won't start.

Many of these small blowers have an alloy key moulded into the flywheel, if this has sheared it will knock the ignition timing out, and will never run.

Ho to get to the toro 6.0 magnito

The ignition module is bolted to the front of the flywheel. Im going to assume this is a pushmower and not a leaf blower... Remove the plastic top cover, remove the fuel tank, disconnect the dipstick tube, leave it in the seat but rotate the stay out of the way. Tie the engine kill bail to the handle- run position. disconnect the spark plug wire. remove the flywheel shroud / starter assembly. You will see the flywheel, intake tube and the ignition module right there on top of the motor. Armature air gap is 20 thousandths ( good quality thick business card works good). Set the gap with the magnet faceing the module.

Replacing the pull cord on my Troy Bilt blower/vac (TB320BV), & I can't get the nut off the crankshaft extension, the last thing keeping me from the starter housing. I've tried clasping the flywheel...

Same problem here. After snapping a couple fins off the flywheel trying to lock it with a screwdriver, I had an idea that worked quite well.I used an oil filter wrench (designed like pliers) Item #36778 at harbor freight. The thin design held the flywheel well (very tight fit,had to force past the plastic housing) while I used a socket and power handle.Worked for me and used it when torquing the crankshaft extension nut tight again.

My homelite leaf blower UT # UT08023B is running badly all of a sudden. when i pull the trigger to get it to full speed, it acts like it doesn't want to get to full speed only about half speed and it seems...

Its a fuel delivery problem. Its running lean.
Check the fuel line in the tank to see if the filter fell off. If the filter is loose in the tank than the best way to repair is to replace the fuel line. Also the diaghrams in the carb are dry or the screen is clogged. Lastly, if the fuel lines are not rotted and the screen in the carb is clear and everything is in proper working order then you can adjust the carb ( if it has adjustments). Start by turning the low speed needle out ( counterclockwise) 1/2 turn.

Weedeater pull cord won't pull out on a leaf blower

Suggest to remove recoil housing/assembly and try to rotate the flywheel. Remove the spark plug & check for a silver or aluminum color or coating.
If the flywheel will not turn by hand, the piston/cylinder is seezed. No further repair is affordable.

If the flywheel turns by hand and the spark plug is a dark brown color, then focus your attention to the recoil assembly to see if rope is bound or wound around the rope rotor.

Homelite yard broom starts a clicking noise then power loss. Power may come back for short bursts and clicking ceases during these times.

Suspect the blower fan is loose on the crankshaft.
Open the housing on the fan side and check mounting nut. If this is the case, remove the nut, apply one or two drops of Loctite-Thread-Locker (in the blue package) to the crankshaft threads and reinstall the nut.
Hope this helps.
