Question about Pool & Spa

I too have spent all day trying to get the Hurlcon Viron Pool Heater to operate and the F2 fault keeps appearing. We have had this problem before and had to have the Temperature Sensor relaced at con

This will be our 3rd service call out on the same heater in 2.5 years. Same problem each time - corrosion of a Pressure-Temp Sensor component that can easily be made in a more corrosion-resistant material. Astral should act - we are reluctant to install such a heater in our new house.

SOURCE: low pressure reading on Pool Heater

I had this problem with ours last year. I replaced the water pressure switch and it began working fine. We later had a symptom that the blower would start but it would not ignite. The ignitor rod was corroded so I took it out and sanded it with some sandpaper---worked fine...until I dropped it trying to reinstall and it broke. Bought a new one and it works fine now.

Today's problem is related to the blower now.... it is always something, isn't it?!?

SOURCE: When Heater is turned on display shows 125, doesn't ignite/fire.

I am not sure if you have solved this issue, or not, but here is one idea. When you turn on the heater, it is reading the temp at 125/126 correct? IF this is what the heater is reading, then the problem is the Thermistor,or temp sensor, and is very easy to replace.

If you have an Owner's Manual, there are part numbers and instructions on how to replace the Thermistor. If you do not have one, follow the link below and it will take you to one online:

SOURCE: Hayward H250K gas pool heater error code

Low Flow errors are not necessarily real. They can be caused by improper adjustment or a defect of the pressure switch. Locate the pressure switch. Verify that the "switch" makes contact. Adjust the dial, reducing the distance the switch has to travel to engage. This will effectively lower the operating pressure required to operate. Keep adjusting until the unit stays on.

Look at the pool water temperature readout. If this is a crazy figure say 60 to 120d deg C replace the thermistor line probe that senses water temp. its in the black water manifold.
