Question about Lexmark JetPrinter X1185 All-In-One InkJet

Lexmark 1185x i have been having an issue with my lexmark printer, the problem is that it says that my computer cannot communicate with my printer, also the power button never stops flashing

    Power button keeps on flashing upon inserting onto power socket. I've tried connecting it directly (minus the surge protector) but problem persists. Why is the power button "ON" when I haven't pressed it?

    I have the same problem with my Lexmark. Button keeps flashing and it saids it's busy and cannot communicate.

    cannot communicate with the computor, the black cartridge is half full the color one is 75% full, I have try cleaning the inside with a damn cloth and ther was a lot of spooling of ink on inside, I try to clean the cartridge and reinstall it. and also the paper feeder does not load properly I think I got a bad machine.

    I have tried everything. It still says no communication between printer and computer. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled, unplugged, and restarted. We just got a new computer but the printer worked fine so we kept it. What is wrong? Help!!!

Check and see if the USB cable is plugged in on both ends.

What you will see A"No communication" dialog appears when you try to print or scan. What to do Make sure the correct port is selected in the Properties screen. To do this:

    1. Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel.
    2. Double-click on the Printers folder.
    3. Right-click on the printer icon and select Properties.
    4. In the Properties screen, click the Port tab.
    5. Ensure that the printer port is set to one of the USB port options; see below.

    6. Select the port and click OK.
    7. You may need to reboot the PC for the change to take effect.
NOTE: The printer icon may not be displaying in the notification area (the "systray"). Once the port is correctly selected, the icon should appear there.

My Lexmark Platinum PRO905 does ot print it gives me the message " Communication Not Available, The Printer cannot communicate with the computer"
A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if usb-connected), reboot your computer and unplug/replug your printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect the printer into the computer. Try to print again.

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. If your printer is connected via USB cable to your computer, simply disconnect the printer from your computer, reboot your pc and unplug/re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When everything turns back on, reconnect the printer into the pc. Wait for the computer to fully recognize the USB connection. Try to print again.

This could be a slight communication problem. Try to reboot your computer. Unplug and replug the printer into the power outlet in the wall to reset it. Doing this usually fixes minor communication issues.
If there's still no communication, try to reset your printer's network settings - How to Reset the Z1400 and Z1500 Series Network Settings. Once done, re-launch the Lexmark Wireless Setup Utility on your computer to reconfigure the printer to your wireless network. If you're using Windows, go to Start menu > Programs > Lexmark Z1400 Series > Tools > Wireless Setup Utility. Follow the instructions on your computer screen.
