5C00 is a purge unit error, thats the cleaning unit on the right where the printhead parks. Look inside with a flashlight, if nothing is blocking it's operation, you willl need a new print engine, qm2-2020-000 around $150.00

I couldnot copy anymore and heard a lot of noise and error 5C00. I moved the cartridge cradle to the left and cleaned a 1cm square pad and the surrounding from ink and now I get the same noise and cod

5C00 means that a Generic Service error has occurred in your printer.
Chech that the Timing Strip is in the right position and the carriage guide/Cord that moves the carriage left and right isn't gone out of the motor wheel or at the left side on the plastic wheel
If this happened try to replace the guide on the wheel - motor
If the timing strip (a little strip with a lot of little vertical lines on it is dirty, clean it with water. DO NOT USE Alcohol or other solvents, if just one of the vertical lines are damaged you have to change the strip.
Hope the best, ADCSFXworks Printing Center

Error 5C00 results when trying to print

[5C00} & Light Blinking 4 times = Purge Cam Sensor Error. That's mean there is an error occurred in the purge unit. You may either need to replace PURGE UNIT or LOGIC BOARD to solve out this error. Thank you.

It seems that it takes my printer a long time to react to printing an copying and it all seems to make a lot of noise. Is that normal?

Yes it its normal. After hit the print its will take few sec or min. "20 sec to 1 min, depend on the computer speed means ram , cpu speed". Some time printer give a bad noise while printing. Specially cartridge users. But that noise can't come from toner build printers. Its smooth like a butter. what ever, as per your sound you can do one thing, remove the cartridge, and clean the dust from printer inside. After that the noise little bit going down. But if your feel the noise like a metal scrubbing, then i suggest you visit service center and tell them for a service.
Thanks & waiting for your feedback.

Canon pixma ip90 printer

if your printer is flashing 4 orange and then back to green repeatedly - i found a solution to it for my ip90v - i opened the printer and checked the right hand side cogs - carefully turn them and you may see that some stray paper jam debris is blocking the cleaning unit from returning to its home in the bottom front of the printer - carefully remove it and replace the casing - turn on and with any luck you will have a dully functioning ip90 like i did.

Hope it helps some others out
