Question about Lenovo G460 Notebook
When I was watching a movie the screen suddenly went off and I could able to listen only the audio part of it, since then there is no display except a white screen. What could be the problem and Please suggest, how this technical problem be resolved.
Does it come back up if you reboot? If so, you might have a video driver problem. Your laptop has an Nvidia N11M-GE1 graphics chip integrated into the system. You can download the drivers here: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/lenovo-g-series-laptops/lenovo-g460-notebook
However, you may have a worse problem. White screen issues are often caused by bad cabling, in which case you (or a certified technician) would have to open your laptop's bezel and check the wiring for the screen.
Third possibility is ensuring your power options are set to NOT turn off the screen after any amount of time. Sometimes Windows doesn't recognize that something as simple as a movie is currently playing, so it tries to hibernate, and that causes the issue.
