Sounds like a Bryant inducer assembly. When was the last time you had this cleaned and checked?

Testimonial: "I had it cleaned last year when they replaced the thermocouple. I have decided to replace the furnace. I have quotes on Trane, Lennox, Comfort Maker, Goodman, Rheem & Payne. Trane is much higher than the others, but I don't want to buy skimp & be sorry later. I have to go with the 80% because I can't drill holes in the wall of my building. Any advice??"

I am a Lennox dealer so I am a bit biased. What you need to do is find a tech or company you are comfortable with. I prefer working on the big three units versus the others. Lennox,Trane and Carrier are good units. I would go with one that has a variable speed motor or dc at least they seem to work longer and are more efficient on electric. A two stage heating cycle is great for comfort and usually has a better warranty. I would also recomend a media filter to protect your investment. the money you spend on it now will be worth it in the long run. A merv 10 is fine enough don't get anything new fangled there. hope this helps:-)

SOURCE: I have a new home 1 yr and when the furnace kicks

Check by turning the unit off and turn the fan to on. Do you hear the noise now? The noise your hearing could be coming from your combustion fan assembly instead. Newer furnaces have a in-shot burner and are nosier than the old style of heater.

needs a tune up. flame is probably yellow which means it is burning too much fuel and therefore not getting as hot and it would smell different also.

Is it cost effective to replace draft inducer blower on 22 year old furnace?

Depends on the cost to repair. Probably a 22 year old furnace is not very efficient also. Take every thing into consideration.
If it still works it may work for a while but you don't want a break down in the middle of winter.

Goodman Heat Pump laing heat and loud noise

Taking a little bit of time for heat is normal but the "pressure" thing you are referring to leads me to believe that the reversing valve is getting stuck. You will here that "pressure release" noise with a reversing valve but it should not be happening 5 minutes after start up.

Goodman furnace

sounds like the fan switch in the furnace is coming on and off. This is common for Goodman. or could be the heat anticipator on the t-stat. While there are several reasons this happens these are the most common.
