Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

I have a Coby tftv4025s3 Tv. I also have a Sony home theater system. The home theater system is hooked up and working with the dvd. It works in all aspects EXCEPT for use with the "tv". There doesn't seem to be any audio OUT Jacks on the tv. Would hooking up an hdmi cable in place of the other cables help or would it still only work in that specific input for dvd? What about an optical cable? I have a small genie cable box that does not have the audio out components either. Help! Don't tell me I juse wasted $400. What do I need to do to have it work with my TV?

SOURCE: I want to connect the

Hi,here is my simple solution...
If you want to listen your TV on your Stereo system thru your receiver,
** you need to connect "Audio Output " RCA jacks or "Optic cable output" of your TV
** to "AUX input " or "TV" OR "Any input" of your receiver ( except Phone ) or "Optic Cable input"
** than just switch to respective mode on RECEIVER corresponding your RCA or Optic connection...
There you go..Your TV sound is on the Receiver..By this means whatever you watch on the
TV (
tuner, satellite , Xbox ) ,it's sound will come thru your stereo..

Hope this helps!
Take care and please

Trying to get my ps3, Emerson hd tv and coby DVD938 home theater all to work together

The DVD938 only has analog audio input (2.1 channel), thats why you have only a white (left channel) and red (right channel) audio connection from your ps3 to the home theatre. There is an option called PROLOGIC in the setup menu that will simulate 5.1 with the 2.1, it basically takes the 2.1 channels and splits it into all the speakers.

Do not know how to get regular T.V. hooked up to this system

try using the red White cables from back of tv to back of dvd player/receiver. Do the same with DTV/dvr or cable box. not sure if cable box has red and white cable outlets, however the DTV-DVR does, The quick patch is from TV to back of dvd (input audio)side,....that should work

I can't get my coby DVD 937 to play sound while watching tv. It works fine while playing a DVD or CD????

there should be an input line of just audio cable hookups (one red and one white) that you have to run and an output cable from your tv audio output of just red and white. make sure the tv says output or line out and the surround sound system says input or line in

Can't get surround sound for tv shows

The coby dvd 988 has 2 rca audio input jacks, you need to have these connected to your TV AUDIO OUT jacks, these are usually colored red and white like right and left stereo jacks, be sure to set up the TV for AUDIO output through these connections, some tv`s require that the internal built in speakers are cancelled and the audio output jacks are enabled. Set the coby input signal to receive the port you pluged the tv signal into.
