Question about Polar FT7 Heart Rate Monitor
As I first began using this model C321570137642, I was able to view my ongoing hear rate during exercising time period. Since I needed to adjust the hour of the day for the end of day-light saving time on 11/2/14 I have been unable to see my heart rate in real time. ALSO, the number 2 within a circle appeared in the lower right-hand corner of the display

SOURCE: setting Polar CE0537
You do not have the right model number. For some reason, Polar puts the CE0537 in big numbers on the back of the case. The real model number on my unit was in very light engraving right above the words "Polar Electro" on the back of the case. Looks like they have an engraving problem where both the model and serial number are very hard to read. If it helps, my model was S120 and I found the manual quickly on the polar site. The polar site also has the location of model numbers in their FAQ area.

SOURCE: Watch won't read heart rate
It could be the battery on the strap is not good. However just to be sure make sure you are wetting the strap and it is around chest, front should sit right about on the bottom of pectoral or chest, if you are female make sure it is under your sports bra the bra band will be over it. I would start warming up then hit the start button it should work.

change you "HR view" to HR, not HR%. Currently you are seeing your heart rate as percentage of your Max Heart Rate (Max HR) but not by beeps per minute (bmp). Go in to the settings and see HR View.

Make sure the heart rate monitor is under your clothing, against your
skin, and as high under the pectoral muscles as is comfortable. Note:
If the heart rate monitor does not function when positioned as
described, try moving it slightly lower or higher on your chest.
Make sure the logo on the sensor is facing forward and is right side
Use saline solution (saliva or contact lens solution) to wet the two
electrode areas on the sensor unit. If the heart rate readings do not
appear until you begin perspiring, re-wet the electrode areas.
As you walk or run on the treadmill, position yourself near the
center of the walking belt. For the console to display heart rate
The heart rate monitor is designed to work with people who have
normal heart rhythms. Heart rate detection problems may be caused by
medical conditions such as premature ventricular contractions (pvcs),
tachycardia bursts, and arrhythmia.
The operation of the heart rate monitor can be affected by magnetic
interference caused by high power lines or other sources. If you
suspect that magnetic interference may be causing a problem, try
relocating the treadmill.
If the heart rate monitor still does not function properly, test it
by having another person try it.

u may have started wearing a Polar F11 Fitness heart rate monitor to help you keep track of your pulse during cardiovascular exercise. The monitor consists of a strap with electrodes that you attach to your chest, which transmit heart rate data to a receiver worn on your wrist like a watch. The wrist unit stores data and settings that you can customize, such as your weight, height and target heart rates. However, you may wish to reset the unit and start over with new settings.
