If the belt is coming off the pullies my be out of line .you need to put a straight edge across the two pullies to make sure they are level . And check there's enough tension on the belt .

SOURCE: zanussi aquacycle 1000 washing machine spin problem

My zanussi aquacycle 1110 sounds like it is about to take off when it goes onto a spin cycle. Does anyone know what it could be? The big black spings are still in place inside the washer that hold the drum. It also rattles more than normal as well. Thankyou

I have a Kenmore 158-3500 sewing machine and cannot get the side plate off near the hand wheel I have removed the clutch wheel but the hand wheel and belt seem to keep the plate from coming off.

Hi,
The machine has two belts, one from the motor to a transfer pulley and the second from that pulley to the handwheel. You have to loosen the motor mount (one large screw/bolt) to release tension on the transfer pulley which in turn releases tension on the handweel belt. You will have to take the belts off the transfer pulley to slide the handwheel off (assuming you have already removed knob in the center of the handwheel)
Don't forget to lubricate the shaft of the transfer pulley while you have the end cover off. If this runs dry you will have a problem.
Good luck
Bob

Bought a new driver belt for my ge front loader and it keeps falling off.

like all machines with belt drives is the rear pulley straight ie if the rear bearing is failing this will allow eceessive play on the pulley i assume that it is being tightend enough. also make sure that the motor mountings are ok .hope this helps

Hi. I've a washing machine rex electrolux logic RE7. I must change the belt but it seems too much hard for me because the belt is too much short but the new belt is the correct belt. how can do this in...

There are two types of drive belt with different characteristics:
• rubber belts (black)
• plastic belts (yellow)

belt for example: 1280 J 8
1280 = this is the working length which is always shorter compare to length of 1280 mm depending of degree of elasticity (plastic or rubber).
J or H = shape of the drive belt
4,5,6,8 = number of teeth

So, if dimensions, shape and number of teeth are the same as the original belt, proceed as shown pictures below:

Always first place the belt on the motor pulley and then on the drum pulley and then turn the drum pulley (big) and belt clockwise firmly until the belt is seated.

The belt keeps coming off and does not sit straight on the wheel

If the belt keeps coming off, then it could be worn or stretched belt, loose drum pulley, a cracked spoke on the pulley, or the main drum bearings have failed, thus allowing the drum to run off center.
Hope this helps.

I cannot get the drive belt back on.

Hi.

Asuming you have the correct belt, then you will really have pull and stretch it hard to get it on.

It is the case that the new belt wiill not appear to be the right size.

Just persist, mind you do not trap your fingers!!!

Cant get new drive belt to fit washing machine. right one but cant get it to stretch enough to fit from drum wheel to motor

this is a common problem as nowadays stretchy belts are used in order to avoid motor adjustment.
fitting requires some brute force. the way i do it is to put the belt on the motor pulley then start it as much as i can on the drum pulley. turn the drum pulley keeping force sideways to push the belt on and as you turn, the belt will go on

Hotpoint washing machine belt come off

u need to take the lid off and keep the small panel off now 2 ways u can do it 1)undue the botls on the motor just enough so u can move the motor now put the belt around the pulley wheel by placing your hand through the small panel once done put the belt around the motor wheel now last thing pull motor so it tightens the belt and tighten the bolts on the motor 2)place the belt around the wheel on the motor now with your other hand put the belt on 1 side of the big pulley wheel and hold it in place as u turn the pulley wheel it will slide on but with tension once on spin the pulley wheel and it will line up the belt

Kenmore h3 won't spin

Remove the pulley nut and pulley. The pulley should have a round hole with two flat sides that ride on a shaft. If the flat sides of this opening are damaged the pulley will not stay tight and will rattle. Try tightening everything down. If you can grab the pulley (like a steering wheel on a car) and turn it back and forth on the shaft, there shouldn't be any "play" in it. The whole drum should turn. If this is the case, replace the pulley and nut. I hope this helps you.
