Question about Linksys By Cisco E2500 DualBand WirelessN Router
I do not have the password key or password. I cannot access the connection to the wireless to my computer. I know the wireless router is working because I can access my printer with it. Please help. Many Thanks, Leo Richard
Check to see if your router has the factory production sticker on the bottom (Looks like) Admin: admin Pass: admin
Press the reset button on the back of the router and hold it for 10 seconds. BE Aware! This will reset the router back to a factory default setting - you will have to set the router back up with all new information. New wireless connection password.
Have a great night..

You could try to connect to your router with a CAT5e network cable. Then open your browser and open the webpage http://192.168.1.1
When prompted for your username and password, try password 'admin' (without quote marks) and leave username empty.
If that doesn't work, reset your router and configure all the options over again (make sure you have all required information for the settings). For more information, look at this knowledge base article: kb.linksys.com/Linksys/GetArticle.aspx?docid=6af0fc7147664d2eaef47a2189a1ffce_E2500_FAQs.xml

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Problem with linksys router
You won't be able to get into the internet until you configure your router - hence the security screen. Go to the Linksys book (or "quick start) that came with it should have given you the router's address and password (for instance http://18.104.22.168.and linksys. It'll also give you password instructions for when the security screen comes up. ) Once you're into your router's configuration page. You should be able to follow the steps and then you'll be home free. Good Luck or get back to me.

SOURCE: Linksys routetr problem
The problem can be caused, because of two reasons, one the router profile on the computer has got corrupted and second the router itself. Have you tried resetting the router to factory defaults.. Caution: all wireless security settings and user name and passwords would go back to factory defaults.
1.Disconnect all cable from the back of the router.
2. Shut down your computer and the DSL box
3.Press the reset button, using a paper clip at the back of the router.Keep it pressed for 5 seconds
4. Disconnect the power cord to the router
5. Switch on the Dsl box, wait for the lights to stablize
6. Reconnect the interenet cable and the power cable to the router and power it on.
7 Let the lights stabalise on the router and power on the computer.
Check if that resolves the problem, if not we might need to update the router.

SOURCE: WPA for linksys
I would guess you are entering something incorrect with your security. If the wireless adapter on your XBOX wants a WPA then the wireless it is picking up has security on it however, it may be incorrectly set using WEP or WPA radius. Here is what *I* would do. Log in to your wireless router and remove all security. Go back to your XBOX and look for the signal for your wireless network. Now try to connect. Wireless connections can be a pain to configure sometimes but start first with no security and work yourself up. IF you can't get it working with security, make up a goofy SSID with NO security but don't broadcast it then you can connect the manual way through your XBOX specifying the SSID (not broadcasted) and no security that should do it. (Just a side note for my XBOX I bought a cheap Belkin 4 port router made it an access point for my existing wireless network and hardwired my XBOX to it. Works fine.)

Go to: www.speedtest.net with a laptop on your network.
Find your speed. now repeat on same laptop plugged directly into the cable madem.
Do the settingsa change much?
If so, your network is at fault. If not, Comcast is lying to you.
