Need instructions on assembling 2-5 person house shaped tent

House shaped tent is not an adequate description to make erektion suggestions.

Broadly speaking tents are divided into categories of dome, tunnel, ridge, bell or frame.

The ridge tent is sort of house shaped and the classic frame tent also, though this is usually referred to as a bungalow or perhaps chalet tent. None of these types peaks in the centre of the top and neither does a house, usually.

A small marquee peaks in the centre of the top and is also vaguely house-shaped but it seems somehow unlikely you have a small marquee..

It is also important to know whether there is an inner and an outer tent or flysheet and a sewn-in groundsheet, single pole, ridge pole, frame, fibreglass rods or perhaps an A frame.

I can't advise much without knowing what sort of tent you have but I advise you to practice, practice, practice and colour code or number each pole assembly. Bad weather when pitching for the first time is too late to be trying to read instructions and wondering which pole section goes where.

I also advise taking extra pegs and guy ropes in case of accidents or really foul weather. Tents are provided with minimum equipment for moderate weather pitched on hard packed loam type ground.

For different types of ground; sandy soil or rocky different designs of pegs are available and should be used along with heavy stones or sandbags. Double pegging is also advisable in some circumstances.

Preparation and attention to detail is the key to a successful camping trip. No extra precautions often turns a simple camping trip into pure misery. I once camped at the top of a high cliff when bad weather was expected. I double-pegged and fitted extra guy ropes and slept right through a gale while my companion laid awake petrified. The tent never moved but in the morning we were the only campers left on that part of the site.

I need assembly instruction for 8 person cabin dome tent with screen house

Clean the ground of any rocks, logs or big sticks. Open the stuff sack and pull out all of the contents. Pull the poles out of their pole bag and set them aside. Remove the tent stakes and set them next to the tent.

  • 2 Lay out the tent poles and assemble them. Push the rod blanks together to make the tent poles that will support the mesh tent body.
  • 3 Unroll the mesh tent over the cleared ground. Take care not to step on or walk on the mesh panels. Avoid sticks and snags, as the mesh rips easier than nylon tent fabric.
  • 4 Clip the Timbertop tent pole clips to the poles. There are no tent pole sleeves because Timbertop uses external pole clips for its mesh tents. Criss-cross the tent poles and push the tent pole tips into the metal holes at the end of the pole clip lines. The mesh tent will now be standing upright.
  • 5 Place one tent stake into the ground and through a pole strap stake hole. Pull the tent out as you insert the stake to keep the mesh panels tight. Stake down each pole strap around the perimeter of the tent. Unzip the doors to enter the tent. Zip up the doors quickly after entry to keep bugs and insects out of the tent.

I have a disney princess tent that goes over a twin bed and i lost the instructions to putting it together and i need help.

  • 1

Remove the tent and poles from the packaging. Select an indoor area with a high ceiling or an outdoor area without overhead obstacles. The poles are not excessively long but they will be difficult to assemble without space.

  • 2

Lay the Princess tent with the floor on the ground. Pull on each corner to tighten the floor. Assemble the two tent poles by inserting the male sections into the metal ferrules.

  • 3

Slide one pole through each of the diagonal sleeves. Place the end of each pole in the fabric pockets on the corners. This will flex the poles and raise the tent body.

  • 4

Place the fabric roof on top of the tent. Attach the hooks on each corner of the roof to the loops on the top of the pole sleeves. The roof fabric will stretch tight and cover the ventilation gap in the tent ceiling.

Peg out 2 back pegs of inner tent. Peg out 2 front then side pegs. Place smaller pointed pole through hole at bell end of inner tent from inside, longer pole through hole at front.Fit protective bases to each pole. Top pointed poles with separators. Assemble roof pole, put through loop and over separators. Throw outer tent over from bell end (needs 2 people) then carefully lead towards front til holes in roof match - back hole first. Fit rain hoods front and back. Peg outer tent from bell end first then back corners, front corners then sides. Place porch poles through holes at front of porch, zip door sides down with one person holding poles upright and taut and peg out door. Peg sides all along making sure they do not touch inner tent. Fix guy ropes.
