1 Answer

Why the battery drains off to one point in hour in Nokia N70 with out any operation? The same battery retains full power more than 24 hours when removed from N70.

The battery of N70 drains off very quickly in standby mode. But the same batter retains full power when removed from the phone.

I think that your battery's lifetime is over. try with a new battery. but make sure to buy an original battery. don't buy cheap chinese battery.

Why is my Next book Premium 7 SE is not holding a charge. Loose connection. I have a 2 yr. warranty but cannot find my paperwork. Purchased at Walmart Bowl Green KY. 2012

Tablets use Li Ion batteries. These batteries have what is known as a "memory" if the devices are allowed to drain all the way, this often damages the battery.
Not charging the battery for a full 8-24 hours can also cause the battery to hold a lower charge. For example, when it says "Please put device on charger" you charge it only till it says full then remove (usually a 1 hour to 4 hour charge). This is not an actual full charge and can also damage the batter / cause it not to hold a long charge.
The battery can be replaced, and are usually not very expensive. The last tablet battery I replaced was about $15.00 for the battery itself. Some are a little cheaper.
Most repair shops should be able to perform the repair if the warranty paper can not be found.

Samsung galaxys 2 drain battery fast

The power cell should only get warm if you have it powered on all of the time. That is natural. 6 hours is short, and that may be one of two problems, the time of charge is too short, or the battery is dying. HINT! If you replace with a NEW battery; you must set the battery memory for the start. That means, when you first charge it, make certain it gets a long 24 hour charge to full. Use the phone until the device shuts down because the battery was exhausted. Now Do a full long term Charge. That process will set a Memory for the Power Cell and allow you to fully charge and discharge the battery from there on. One more thing...if you use a Charger Device, make certain it is working OK or else the Battery will not charge well.

How many hours we should charge the battery fist time Nokia-2700

There are basically 3 types of chemicals currently being used for cell phone and laptop batteries. Ni-cad, Ni-mh and Li-ion. There is a fourth makineg its way in Li-ion polymer. A couple things are consistent for all types of batteries no matter what chemical is inside. You must initially give the battery a 12-14 hour charge on the home charger. (Don't use a cigarette adapter for the first charge. This conditions the battery and don't take it off the charger that first time even if the charging indicator says it's full after 3 hours. Also the manufacturer's also state to run it thru 3 charge cycles. What that mean's is that you fully charge and fully drain 3 times. 1 full charge + 1 full drain = 1 charge cycle. Here's where the way you charge the battery starts to differ.

Ni-cad: Mostly only on older devices, has a "memory" effect, should be drained before a full charge is put on it, should be removed after overnight charge or can be overcharged and burnt out.

Ni-mh: Still used for some devices, has slight memory effect but not enough to have to fully drain before the recharge, should not be consistently left on charger after full charge that can eventually burn out battery and shorten usage time.

Li-ion and Li-ion polymer: Used on a lot of newer devices, has no "memory" effect, should be recharged as often as possible, actually likes to be charged and draining it regularly can cause the usage time to be shortened, can NEVER be overcharged so whenever you're near a charger put it on there. Besides those benefits a li-ion battery is lighter and smaller but the chemical can hold more charge than Ni-cad and Ni-mh.

So the one reply to your question said to error on the side of draining the li-ion batteries. This is incorrect information. You want to charge the battery before it gets below a 20% charge. Also batteries will not go bad from accidentally doing the incorrect charging procedure here and there but normally follow the correct procedure. One last note try to use the home charger more often than the cigarette lighter charger for best long term results. Cigarette lighter chargers do not give a full charge (about 95%) which in the long run can damage any type of battery listed.

My nokia n70 frequently restarts and the battery lasts not more than 10 hours.

Hi!... Try to reformat or reflashing the phone. An updated software is available at their site and the instruction on how to format. And with your battery problem, if you are using voice calls frequently it 10 hours is normal or if not, if your battery is already 1 1/2 to 2 years try to replace with new.

Nokia 6300 Switching off

Purchasing a new phone is easy and everyone is always in a hurry to use new phone but never go through the manual properly. You did the same you didn't put the battery on charge for 24 hours. Now to check your phone take another charged battery for nokia put it inside your phone and start it. It will deffinetly work. In order to revive your dead battery keep your battery on charge while the phone is switched off for minimum 24 hours. If it gets revived its ok or else purchase a new one.

Battery Drain

have a look:

I suggest using XD cards. Depending on the age of your camera there may be a factory fix available to improve this issue, you'll have to contact the Fuji repair center.

The manual states there is some small constant drain by design but 70mA seems high. There is no internal battery to retain the date, but with 2+ hours of the batteries inserted (or power supply attached) it is supposed to retain data/time for up to 24 hours (internal capacitance holds it). If you have a CF draining that will probably use all of the stored energy up though causing the date/time to be lost. Try it with the CF pulled out if that is the memory you are using.

Plugging in the adapter will cause a power-interrupt according to the manual. Be sure the camera is off when plugging or removign the supply.

FWIW I have switched to Duracell pre-charged NiMH hybrid cells in my S7000 and the "shelf-life" is much better than typical NiMH, took hundreds of test shots and views over a period of a week and there was still plenty of life in the cells. (They are rebranded Sanyo "enerloop" cells, google them up for more info).

The blinking asterik means low battery. Could be that your replacement batteries aren't full power.

What is really sounds like is a static charge problem though. If you don't have anything stored in memory that you are worried about losing, try taking the batteries out for a full 24 hours. This will let the capacitor drain and performs a static discharge. After 24 hours put working batteries back in.
