yes clean your fan out,or check the heat paste on your processer.
what i do is get a hoover and put it next to the fan and try cleaning it that way,if that dont work you might endup opening your laptop to clean it.

Sounds like a Bearing on the Fan went bad (due to the Heat), replacing the Fan is the only fix.

Fan runs continuously.geek squad checked it out and said it had 133 viruses .they cleaned it up. we have since cancelled webroot and installed norton.fan still runs continuously and occasionally...


First of all try to clean the fan, it might have dust on it which as a result heating up the cpu. overheating is the main reason which is why sometime typed characters are not visible. Download a utility called Speedfan, this could control fan speed. GOOD LUCK

I have a GE microwave and just ran the self cleaning option on my gas range. During the cleaning process the microwave fan turned on low and now that the range is finished cleaning the fan will not shut...


The fan has a safety thermostat which turns the fan on if the area under the microwave get too hot. It turns off after it has cooled, providing you have not manually switched the fan on.

I have had my Dell Dimension 2400 PC for several years now and the problem is I will turn it on and it only runs for like 5 minutes and then screen goes black and the power light turns orange ( turns off)


blow out dell with air compresser is u have one or can of air,,,get that at walmart,,usally dust is why,,or also pop off fan and heatsink ,thats the siver thing under fan,over the top of processer,,,clean fan,,and heatsink,,clean top of processer with rubbing alcolhol,,get a tube of thermal compound from radio shack,,,wipe a little of that over top of procesesr,,b4 u put fan and heatsink back on,,,that jus keeps it cool,,the themal compound does,,,but u can just blow out first and see what that does ,,but that will fix it,,ive had that a million times on numerous computers,,if u take all that off processer,,make sure u got it tight over top when u reinstall,,jus as it was ,,do not take processers out,,leave it where it is,,to hard not to mess up,,if never handled one,,goodluck

How do I clean the Lakewood Tower Fan LWTF-42/RC-DLX. How can I open it to clean the blades


Open the grills and use a long stem tipped with cloth dipped in kerosene to lightly clean the dust. Then use a similar arrangement of dry cloth wound on it to wipe clean the moist dirt. Repeat the process and you will have a clean blade. Use a jet air blower to assist you , use face mask and do it out in the open.
