Normally not putting the batteries in the right way round, or not putting the negative, minus, flat end in first, and then pushing the positive end down.

Can I replace the latch or change the full internal chamber?

sir,
this part is available with Nikon agency, to replace this you have to open the whole camera, then detach the front portion, it doesn't matter, just a piece of rubber or sponge fix on the battery lid, this will be help full to hold the battery at contact perfectly.

WHAT BATTERY DOES MY SWANSON WATCH USE

Here is how you correctly determine what battery goes into any watch when the battery chamber is empty.

Go to www.batteryBob.com web site and in the References area download the PDF Watch Battery Measurement Tool. Print BOLD so easy to read. Here you will use the mm ruler to measure across the chamber; this gives you the FIRST of two dimensions, the diameter. Then cut a sliver of the mm markings and plunge into the battery chamber, this gives you the HEIGHT of the battery and now you've determined the diameter and the height. Go back to the Reference area and look up on the Maxell Watch Battery cross reference and find the correct diameter and height, you may see several heights close to your measurement and try them all in the watch!

How do i change the memory back up battery?

Hello

You can replace the battery without loosing its memory. Follow these instructions. Battery must be changed as fast as you can. So read well and they do the work.

o Bose radio uses a standard nine-volt battery that serves as a backup for the memory and alarm when it's unplugged or when the power is off. It will power these functions for up to three days. Using the radio without the battery won't damage it, but the memory won't be backed up. The battery does not provide enough power for normal operation, including the lighted display.

To install a battery, turn the radio over. Push on the arrow on the battery chamber cover and move it aside. Match the terminals on the battery with their opposites inside the chamber, and push the battery securely into place. Close the cover and return the radio to an upright position.

Connect the power cord to the jack on the back of the radio. The flat side of the connector must line up with the flat side of the jack. Since the power cord contains the FM antenna, uncoil the cord for the best reception. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.

An FM cable connector is on the back of the radio. Contact your cable company for help in setting up your connection. When you set it up, be sure to use a splitter that separates the FM signal from the TV signal so that the TV signal won't be transmitted to your radio.

If your remote is slotted on the back, press the tip of a pen into the opening and push the battery chamber cover to the side. If there's no slot, push the tab to one side with your finger and open the chamber cover. Use only a lithium battery size CR 2032 or DL 2032. Place the battery into the chamber with the plus sign face-up. Push the chamber cover closed and it will lock.

Battery Exhausted

You have to replace the batteries.
Here is a link that leads you to download the manual in english language for free. When you open the manual, you would see instructions on how to replace the batteries and the type of batteries which are compatible with your device.
Also, if you do not want to go to the manual, here is a step by step instruction on how the battery should be replaced.
1. Switch off your camera and open the battery/memory card chamber.(ensure that the power light and monitor have gone off before opening the chamber).
2. After opening the chamber, slide the orange battery latch upward and remove the battery using your hand.
3. Use the new battery to push or slide the orange latch upward and make sure that the positive and negative terminals of the battery are on the left and right side respectively(doing otherwise would damage your camera)
4. After pushing the battery in completely, the orange latch would lock into place and then you can close the battery/memory card chamber.
You should charge the new battery for a couple of hours before turning it on.
The device uses a rechargeable Li-ion battery EN-EL10.
If you need links on where you can purchase the batteries, you can comment here and i will send you some links.
Hope this solution was helpful? Please comment for more information. Thank you for using fixya.

Change Battery Message

Clean the battery contachs- use a pencil eraser to get at those in the base of the chamber. Then try. Some timer the cap that closes the battery chamber is no longer making tight contact- keep it pressed in with a finger when taking shots. If all this is to no avail get onto Canon Technical Support.
