IT does but it is not easy to do. YOu have to move it out from the wall, take screws out of the back, open the door and remove and screws that are hidden by the door that hold only the range top down. Then you can lift the range top.

Normally it's easy. Just lift the range top from the front andtheir should be a lever to pop up and support the range top while you clean. :)

You don't. You can access the valves easily by dropping the base panel. You should however take the front panel off and remove the drum if you wish to do the job right. Yank out the filter. Remove the 2 screws holding the top to the filter chute. Grab the back of the dryer and raise up on the top in front to release it. The unplug the switch which goes to the door and remove some screws to get the panel off. Take 2 springs loose from bottom before removing the panel screws. Get the drum out and clean her up. This is important. To swap out the coils you will need a phillps head driver take 2 screws out lift coils up unplug coils and attach the new ones. Ain't no way to screw up the repair both coils are different and only go in one way. Here is my video:

I have a Whirlpool Mod# LGR7648KQ Gas Dryer problem, it heats for about 15 minutes then the heat shuts down, i've read it might be the cycling thermostat or coils on the gas valves, is there anything else...

Good day,
If it will alway fire the first time after a long rest period, and then refuse to fire on the second try and the machine goes cold but continues to run, then it is almost always the coil kits on the gas valve.
That's a classic Whirlpool event.
To replace,
Remove the lint filter. Remove the 2 screws under the lint filter opening.
With a thin screw driver pry up the lid (top) off the clips, one side at a time.
Lift the top front, but do not go above vertical, and prop in that position.
The front panel is held on with 2 screws, one at each corner. remove, and remove the wires from the door switch and it's clamp.
Pull the panel toward you and lift it off the bottom clips.
You will see the gas valve on the bottom left.
Unplug both wire assemblies from the coils, then remove the 2 screws that hold the bracket.
Remove bracket and lift the coils off.
Any appliance parts house will stock the coil kit.
Relace in reverse order, and it's a good time to check your vent system to make sure it is clean.

Thank you for using FixYa

Gas dryer will not stay warm for long

Hi, You will need to replace the coils on top of the gas valve.
There is a small plastic cap that you can remove in the lower front panel. Start the dryer and see if the ignitor glows and shuts off before the gas ignites. If this is the case, the coils need replaced. This is a very common issue with the gas dryer.
Here is how to change the coils:
UNPLUG the dryer. This model you need to remove the two screws under the lint screen. Now use a flat blade screw drive and insert it in the gap between the top and the front panel and pry the top up. Now locate and remove the screws on the inside of the front panel in upper corners. The front should lift off. You will see the two black coils on the gas valve. When you remove the three wire coil, make sure the sleeve inside it gets put back on the post the coils slides onto.
If I can assist you further, please let me know.

Thanks
Vic

Igintor not glowing when i start the dryer, blowing cold air

Hi, You will need to replace the coils on top of the gas valve. They overheat and wil not open the gas valve late in the cycle. Here is how:
UNPLUG the dryer. This model you need to remove the two screws under the lint screen. Now use a flat blade screw drive and insert it in the gap between the top and the front panel and pry the top up. Now locate and remove the screws on the inside of the front panel in upper corners. The front should lift off. You will see the two black coils on the gas valve. When you remove the three wire coil, make sure the sleeve inside it gets put back on the post the coils slides onto.
While you are repairing the dryer, make sure the exhaust vent is cleaned out and that there are no pinches/cinks in the vent.
Please let me know if this helps or if I can assist you further.

No heat, loud noise when drum spins

This is a different symptom than the one you requested earlier... This symptom suggests that the coils (booster and holding coils) at the burner valve have failed and should be replaced.

First, UNPLUG THE DRYER!

Gain access by removing the lint filter and removing the two screws that were hidden under there. Now take a flat screwdriver and pry the top panel up (like the hood of a car). There are two clips on each side.
Now the the top is up, disconnect the door switch (it's there on the right). Now look at the front panel from the inside... you'll see a screw on each side (they're 5/16" drive), remove them. Now tilt the panel out toward you about 3 inches, starting from the top. Now lift the panel one side at a time to disengage the clips at the bottom. Now set the panel aside.

You'll see the burner assy. on the lower right. On the top of the burner are two black coils held down by a bracket. One coil has two wires, the other has three. Remove the wires and remove the bracket. Lift the coils out (noting how they were installed) and replace them with new ones.

Rebuild is the opposite of tear down.

Hope this helps! Let us know how it works out for you, OK?

Hi
Look under the counter top find the bolts that secures the stove top, unplug the power and remove the top, then look around the edges of the stove top and you should see some small screws that atach the glass to the frame, remove those and lift the glass carefuly, "DO YOUR THING" and then just reverse the steps and done.
