Google your machine make and model with Users Manual.
Your needle size and type will be there.

SOURCE: needle for a singer tiny serger

Hi, ALthough it is called a "Tiny Serger", it will still take regular singer serger needles.

SOURCE: New Home My Lock 134D Serger. The right needles

check to see if the presser foot is loose
check to see if the needle is in backwards
if the presser foot is tight & needle is not in backwards then it could be a timming problem, since you said the needle is hitting the presser foot
please rate this with the thumbs in upper right hand corner

SOURCE: how do you get the needles out of the serger?

are their any tiny little screws close the needle that can be unscrewed that the needle can then be pulled out & a new one put in?

This site shows Organ and Schmetz needles but most quality needle brands would be suitable for your machine. A standard 130/705H needle will work. Just be careful as I believe my machine recommends no needles larger than a size 90.

Have an Toyota 6600 model Serger. The knives won't cut, won't stitch and tread keeps breaking from the right hand needle...

you might want to replace the knives
you might have the serger checked for a timing problem
Serger thread breaks

1. Is the serger threaded correctly?

2. Is the needles inserted correctly?

3. Is one of the needles bent or damaged?

4. Is the tension adjusted too tightly?

5. Is the tension adjusted to accommodate thickness of thread being used?

6. Are you using inferior quality thread?

7. Is the thread feeding of the cone/spool freely?

8. Is the needle size correct for the type of fabric being used?

9. Are the needles being used the correct one for the serger?

10. If all of the above suggestions don't help then the serger needs to be checked for a timing problem at a sewing machine repair shop.

I broke my needle on my frontier simplicity serger and i need to know how to change it

usually a little screw driver that you use on glasses is ok to use or
a small screw driver that size. that's what I use on my serger.

When we thread the serger . the thread is still skipping

Are you using the corfect serger system needles in it? Most domestic sergers will take the regular domestic needle 130/705X but work best with a serger needle with has a groove down the front as well as the regular back scarf. This helps with the thread pickup from the looper by the needles. Sergers also run much faster than domestic sewing machines so the tolerances are very fine.

My Bernina came with ELX705 needles and it does run better with these in it. Also you need to use mid size needles, don't go too small, probably a size 80 or 90 is best.

Check out this page for some good info as the different serger manufacturers do have their own recommended needle sometimes. http://sewingmachine221sale.bizland.com/store/page78.html

Always refer to your manual (or ring the manufacturer if lost) to double check what needle they recommend be used in your serger, it does make a difference.

What is the size of the needle used in the white superlock 1934D

This is a very highly regarded serger. Check out the reviews on http://sewing.patternreview.com if you're interested--but they are all extremely positive.

I also checked out the White Sewing Machine site--the three sergers they currently sell all use regular sewing machine needles.

Based on what I read on both sites, I believe your machine also uses regular sewing machine needles (not all sergers do, BTW). To be absolutely certain, you can call the White Help Line (l 800-331-3164, Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM, EST).

If your serger uses regular sewing machine needles, then the size of the needle depends on the type of fabric you're sewing. Sizes 8 to 10 for lightweight fabrics, 12 to 14 for medium weight fabrics, and 16 to 18 for heavy weight. Use ballpoint needles for knits, jeans needles for denim, and universal needles or sharps for woven fabrics.
