Question about Cell Phones

1 Answer

My cell phone is allowing me to hear but be heard only faintly. Do you think I have an electronic or a physical problem?

I haven't dropped my cell phone on the ground or into the toilet, but people stopped being able to hear me a few days ago. There doesn't appear to be a mute button anywhere, but it sounds like something is covering the mouthpiece. I've tried the cleaning with a dry toothbrush bit. And now I'm getting ready to open it up. What do you think I should be looking for?

LMAO!!!! So sorry as its not the first time I've heard this .. Your gonna need to get some sort of degreaser for electronics such as chemtronics products, such a tun-o wash type product that dosent have any lubercant in it. Now once you get this spray, spray alittle on the back of the phone to make sure it dosent desolve the bloody thing. If it dosent, start spraying all the stream into the mouth and ear piece, while at the same time shaking out all the oil as it should if you get the right stuff. Them its gonna get really cold with this spray so dont hurt your self. Now make sure the batterys unpluged and let the unit dry up for a day or two and then insert the battery again and see if it worked or not. You got a 50:50 shot . If it works great Im a hero, if it does Not, OH well i tryed.. Good Luck

SOURCE: I can't hear anyone, nor can i be heard, when making or receiving calls

Sometimes there might just be lint or something in the headset port. Try taking some canned air and blow it out or take a headset and plug it in and out a few times.

SOURCE: People can hear me, but I can hardly hear them

New phone - just got it.
They can hear me just fine. Unfortunately I neglected to purchase the braile option.
I like the phone (my second one - the first one went into a glass of diet pop). Great display, easy to use etc etc etc.
All that's not much use if they can't hear me.

1. Power you phone off then take out the battery. Put it back in and turn it back on. Rebooting every once in awhile will delete any corruptions or locked up features. You should do this once a week when you remember.

2. If that does not resolve it. Change your ringtone save the changes and change it back. Change your volume level and change it back.. Sometimes the settings get STUCK and changing them gets them back where they should be.

You may have the privacy mute turned on, the one which allows you to say rude and insulting asides to someone next to you and the other party on your phone can't hear that.

Refer to manufacturer technician locally. Suggest speaker replacement. Vacuums ruin speakers. !!Danger!! Do not blow or vacuum speakers. The cause is coil displacement possible electronic disconnection.

I have this i9 cect phone, others cannot hear what shoul I do?

Hi,when you call someone and they don;t hear you,it means that the mouth piece which is located at the bottom of the phone and allows people to hear is faulty and will need to be replaced.
When you replace the mouth piece, people can now hear you.

Take care.

I can hear people on my Nokia E71 but they can't hear me! How can this be fixed?

i dont think this is a physical fault. i havnt dropped or spilled water around my e71 but the same thing happens every couple of months, the mic cuts out mid call.
to fix it, scientific method, record some video and literally palmmash the keyboard when its recording. keep playing it back every ten seconds or so and soon the mic starts working again. dunno how, dunno why, its really annoying, but this has sorted it every time so far..

Lg cell phone (model: LG3280) I can no longer hear the phone when it rings. I have the volume up as loud as it can go and I can faintly hear ring if I hold it to my ear.

the speaker might have popped you might have to get it fixed or better get new phone (this most likely happened if you dropped it or if it rings alot)

No voice can be heard

the dry cell has nothing to do with it..the problem is your earpiece,it is located above the lcd..i think it is attached to the cellphone front casing..or you may have mistook it as a dry cell..check your phone if the earpiece is still there..should be round and has two feet sticking out..
